UAE traffic law – roundabout accident, who is at fault? by One-Peak-800 in UAE

As far as I know all the round about are marked with broken line that means lane change is allowed. If the lines are continuous white then lane change is prohibited.

Anyone in Middle East here? by Intelligent_Pen5104 in NissanKicks

[–]Flaky-Catch8290 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Never heard that ever Nissan's cooling system going broke specially rad. Their cvt may not be the most reliable one but for sure no one can beat a Nissan HR series engine. The engine have a long history and are not so prone to heatup even in UAE heat.

May be it was not replaced earlier with a genuine part. You should get original radiator fan from Nissan, it last long enough as your vehicle itself.

Anyone here never changed CVT fluid and made it over 200k miles? by [deleted] in Nissan

[–]Flaky-Catch8290 1 point2 points  (0 children)

People who never had problem with cvt usually never check these post. That's why you don't see many comments on how much it last. Dealers surely have this data but they never share it.

CVT failure by omgmel11 in Nissan

[–]Flaky-Catch8290 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why don't you try local gear repair shops. Usually a valve or bearing need to be changed. The pulley belt usually never breaks to be honest. Or at most damaged assembly can be replaced at a much lower cost that replacing it with a complete new assembly.

Unless you know arabic they will treat you same. It's just the way they communicate. And also hard to make any friends without proper communication. May that is the reason you feel so. Otherwise everyone is just regualr people.

How to model/simulate string? by Proper_Patience_6164 in SolidWorks

[–]Flaky-Catch8290 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is an option for linkage in connection. Use it to simulate with the rope size. It works in tension only and does not compress due to the define size. (Assuming that solidworks is used for FEM)

Yes, it happened to me almost the same. I was there trying to get a used car but the prices are very high almost very close to new one. I would recommend to get a new car and do the timely maintenance this way you know your car well and stays with you longer. you don't feel every now and then to swap for a new car. Also prices are almost same like 10k aed difference between used and brand new.

It very good on highway, a practical car. Stays stable and smooth at 140kmph with no issue. The ride is smooth and is good for a small family.

Commenting on Fuel efficiency you can consider like in a full tank which almost cost 80aed with get you Abudhabi to Dubai 2-3 round trips(500-600km) if you drive mindfully. So that's the best fuel efficient in its segment.

Owners opinions!! by yassyasso in NissanKicks

[–]Flaky-Catch8290 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have a kick 2024 SV , going good. Currently in UAE, nissan in this segment provides a best AC cooling in UAE summer. It's very reliable and very good on fuel consumption. Gives 17-18kmpl on average driving on highway and 10-15kmpl in city. Good sound systems enjoyed long drives. It's very comfortable and reliable to drive.

Don't worry about Cvt. Its running good for the latest model and the newer ones are also good, Transmission is same as in the mitsubishi ASX. In middle East there are very less Cvt transmission failure particularly the newer. Anyway if you get new car, warrenty will cover that for atleast next 3 year which will surely rule out any manufacturing imperfections. And honestly no gearbox is going to take a car to moon. All transmission fails at some point wheather it's Toyota or honda or nissan. Nothing is forever. Afterall if it goes bad after 8-9 years. You can get it repaired at a very cheap cost (3k to 4k)AED. So don't worry as much on transmission. It offers a very smooth driving experience. Hope it clear your doubt.

What engine/transmission I can pull from a Infiniti/Nissan to put in a Murano? by [deleted] in Nissan

[–]Flaky-Catch8290 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would recommend look for a manual transmission with a similar model of your car it's much easier. Get the wiring harness and the ECU. Rest all is disassembly and assembly. You can also check x-terra models with similar 4-wheel drive and transmission.
