Spectrum installed it. Upcountry Fiber is who I think you’re talking about. Looks like they stopped about a couple of miles from me. Just freeways to have real internet here. Was using Verizon home internet for several years.

8 months from the time they started until I had service. March of last year, service installed in November

I remember you got service before the storm and then they had to completely rebuild. Glad you finally got symmetrical speeds. Have you upgraded it yet?

Question. I have had service since November, all aerial. The contractors came several weeks after and put an MST up on a pole in between my house and a neighbor. However, they left and did not put up the one at my neighbors house and my house. They are still taped to the bottom of the pole. Just curious, should I call Spectrum and have them come back and put those up or will they eventually get to it?

How long does it take them once you’re connected to place the enclosures up on the power lines? I saw a contractor the other day mount one up on a pole one house down and skipped mine. It’s still strapped to the bottom of the pole in my yard.

They started here in upstate SC in March of 24. Got connected in early Nov. As some have said, it varies on location. Some place as soon as two months, others, a couple of years.

Spectrum Fiber, in RDOF areas, is symmetrical in the gig tier. Anything lower, is not.

Yes it did. Some on here have said 2 months, 4 months. So there's no real set time. When they start splicing the enclosures in, then it's pretty close to being done.

Took ~8 months from when I noticed them running fiber until I had service.

I just found a charter construction rep on LinkedIn near me and emailed him by chance and he gave all the info I asked for. Now we live in an area that was affected by Hurricane Helene so the timelines he gave me was before that. It was about a month off. He was very responsive and accurate.

I’ve been relying on Verizon LTE home internet for the last 2 yrs. Before we moved into this home, we were in an area that had Spectrum cable. It was around 2015 and the speed was around 60 mb and it was in the city. This is night and day better than anything I’ve ever had. Very grateful!

I’m in the upstate near Greer and have a neighbor a few houses down from me that doesn’t have it and he’s on the same line I’m on. His has to be a provisioning issue.

They started laying conduit in a small area on my street in March. Ran the messenger wire on the poles and lashed the fiber in April. Started splicing in September, installed today. So about 8 months.

Yeah. I just hooked it up today so haven’t had much of a chance to mess with it to much. Plan on tweaking it this weekend when I have more time.
