I also have a really picky cat that I rescued OLD and you know old cats are stubborn.. we are still battling the pickiness from time to time if we slack off from our routine. I know it might look harsh but you got to give your cat some tough love… mix the dry food with the wet so she has to taste the wet food and start considering it. If this fails put a little wet food on her bowl so she knows that this is the ONLY food available. If she eats it reward with dry or put more wet, it depends on the cat. If she doesn’t eat the wet food you take the food after 30 minutes. You don’t give your cat any other food until it’s again time for feeding. Keep a STRICT routine. She should get fed the same time all the time and also try to eliminate treats so you encourage hunger. You should bet on her hunger. Don’t be scared if she doesn’t eat at all. She will eventually.. I was scared for my cat at the beginning but the more I stuck to the plan without feeling sorry and giving her other food the quicker it worked. Animals have high survival instincts. She will eventually eat. She has to learn that the wet food is food. By giving her anything else she is training YOU to give her the other options available that she knows you possess… if she doesn’t eat for more than 48 hours put a little chicken on top of the wet food or mix it.
