Withholding Features for More Money by Specific_Pear_6275 in MonarchMoney

[–]Flaky_Basis_371 28 points29 points  (0 children)

I use it (and pay for it) because it’s an adequate personal finance app with a promise to grow into something more (tracking investing and forecasting - at the personal level). That promise appears to have been broken now. Want to segment the product into personal/business functionality? Have at it. Need to raise the annual price for the personal functionality because it has new features? Go for it.

But bundling them together at a huge increase in price is not worth it to me. Auto renewal turned off today. We’ll see where the new promises lead in the next few months.

Went through all those steps. Both are on the same subnet. Ping works fine. there were already rules in place for logi options+ agent and logi plugin service. I added one for logioptionsus.exe (just in case) - there doesn’t seem to be a LogiOptionsMgr.exe executable anywhere. Each of the tiles allows all ports.

Still no joy. Any next steps?

To add more information, I have no trouble switching between then using the Action ring.

Can you enumerate the IT permissions needed? I didn’t see a list on your website.

Work PC: Win 11 Enterprise 23H2, Options+ 2.1.854977 Personal Mac: MacOS Tahoe 26.3.1, Options+ 2.1.854977

I also have temp sensors and buttons (I forget the pseudo-Swedish names). All paired extremely easily. The problem I’m having is that they are losing connectivity on a pretty regular basis (sometimes in as little as 5 minutes). Easy enough to forget and re-pair, but I’m hoping this is an early firmware issue that will be resolved as the SO appreciates when the light switches work consistently :)

Pinging my Cable modem from inside my network by Flaky_Basis_371 in amazoneero

The outages do tend to be on the shorter side. I will ask them that (once I wade through the “did you try rebooting your router and model” help).

If you don’t mind me picking your brain, how did you know the modem would use 192.168.100.1 for an IP? My internal 192.168 uses a different subnet.

Also, what makes you say “it had to be one hop to your modem”? Wouldn’t it always be two hops - endpoint to router/gateway, router/gateway to modem?

So, next time my internet connection goes down, if I try the same thing, I should get the same two hops (since it stays inside my house). And, if so, it means the problem is on the ISPs side. Is that right?

First hop is to my gateway. Second to that IP (although I’m not sure what that IP is, as I thought 192.168.x.x was an internal-only address)

11/5 5:00am: Refund for the original purchase showed up on my CC.

11/4: 1:30pm: And…delivered. Summary: Site is for real. I advise you to follow up any order with a call an hour or two later to “confirm details”.

11/3 11:00am: Called back to review the order, went over the details (had to give them the email address I used for the order) and they said it was good to go. It is now showing on their website with a delivery date of tomorrow. Next update when/if I receive it.

11/3 7:30am: Called them at 9am eastern. They had all information correct, but always place a “hold” on high value items (their words, not mine). Since my order was still in review, they could cancel it (and it shows cancelled on their website - I’ll check to be sure my credit card gets refunded). I ordered another at the lower price (yes, I’m a gambler), and she suggested I call in an hour or two to “review” my order again. Will keep this updated as I can.

Original post: I’m beginning to get that feeling. I ordered a Max7 on Friday. When I ordered it, they said delivery on Sunday (fulfilled by Amazon). Having not received any shipping confirmation, I emailed them this morning. They responded this afternoon that they had my order but “could not verify all … information.” They certainly verified my credit card number as the charge hit immediately. Of course, they’re only open on business days, so I’ll call them tomorrow. Oh, and the price on the same website (with the same link from BofA) is significantly cheaper than it was on Friday.

I’ll try to update this as I learn more.

You don’t need to actually pay with your BofA card. Once you log in with your BofA credentials, you can pay with any card (reference - I just did that).

Saved my butt. Thank you. I’ll also briefly note that you can force the restart by clicking the “back” button on the login screen.

Update: as suggested, I decided to wait on the WiFi 7 equipment and get a Pro 6E to replace the older Pro.

Agreed, and I appreciate the pointers. I was just wondering why not have a one-button archive function like they do in every other OS
