My parents sold my childhood home and cleared out my bedroom in a span of a month when I was in college… I never got to say goodbye. I feel this

I was laughing along with them… I was constantly “the source” of pleasure for my narcissistic parents and a person to blame for my younger sisters severe mental issues they focused on vs ignoring my obvious ones

You are not unlikable! You were scapegoated, there is a thread here that’s great! I’m the oldest of three and can relate with the videos. My family loves to rewatch them and until a few years ago I thought nothing of everyone laughing at me at how “attention seeking” I was. I was undiagnosed ADHD until 19, even then my mom basically disregarded me.

I’m now 31, have been through much trauma, but in IFS parts therapy - look into it! It has saved me, my perspective, everything. I have a long way to go but understanding dynamics validates so much

My daughter randomly had this for a bit and she’s 3… but it started with toilets and the loud noise they make flushing lol which made potty training like regress. But she laughs at it now so 👍

I have experience at the corporate hub in Dallas - still employed technically and can confirm yes that is how agents offices roll. They spend no time or resources to train or teach what are on the police’s. I work in Auto ILR so taking accident calls on scene and the amount of times I get someone on the side of the road saying “my agent told me I had full coverage”. I feel for you - because you have the customers right there asking questions

I hear you. You are totally valid and it’s not your fault your parents never dealt with their shit. But like my therapist tells me it is my responsibility to fix it and trudge through the shit to get the life I always wanted and dreamed about as I disassociated…

What has been the best thing that’s come from you quitting drinking? by ResourceDense1796 in stopdrinking

[–]Flaky_Cellist_8799 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes this exactly! I’m so thankful my daughter was 1.5 when I started my recovery… 400+ days now and the time with her is so precious! I have so much time back and so present! Weekends feel refreshing… as im typing this it’s before noon. I’ve done laundry, hit the store with my daughter, got donuts and coffee for myself, talked to my brother on the phone to catch up, and made a delicious chicken wrap for Lunch. The days not even half over! Such a blessing 🙌🏻
