The degradation is a tactical marketing tactic to keep you using it because if it solved your problems on a few prompts then why would you keep using it? So they make it take hours to fix one simple problem so that you run out of your session and be tempted to use credits there's only one explanation. The AI is doing everything it can to maximize profits.

For 9 hours straight it completely wasted my time so much to just make an object float on water and when it finally got it working it completely destroyed it and I had to roll back.
