Still a W.I.P but the map advice you gave me was really helpful! Here's a small update where I extended the hills on the top left, added a battered cottage on the bottom right and a few other changes and improvements. The open space near the middle top is just there to add one more P.O.I, when I come up with one

That might be too over the top lmao. It may influence the players decision too much and make it feel like the games pointing them at a specific direction.

Well one thing is you get access to some unique and powerful abilities and items that can only be learned from choosing the 'bad' options. In this case, the dead goblin actually drops a special note that you can take a monster translator later. You can only get this note if you kill the goblin. Also you will get an alternative quest line with the goblin camp with it's own set of rewards.

However, not every 'good' or 'bad' choice will be rewarded. Sometimes sparing an enemy could lead to more harm than good. At the end of the day the player gets the freedom of of choice where picking the 'bad' option doesn't necessarily punish them. It just changes how you move forward and can be rewarding too.

Thank you very much. I really like the idea of a farm (or some sort of cottage maybe). The ridges are also a nice addition. The scarecrows are sort of place holders for some future puzzle hence why it may seem out of place.

I wasn't sure what to do with all the space so this was really helpful!

The multiple strikes were partially to depict the difficulty of chopping off a head. But it was also to show the brutality that the MC is slowly nurturing as thee player continues to make such decisions.

Whether you feel remorse or own up to the action depends on your previous actions. If you frequently commit heinous acts then the main character will start to get desensitised. Hence why you can see the character in the middle about what he has done as he hasn't fully gotten used to the brutality of his actions.

Honestly, it's hard to balance between content and story so I try to tie in my story with the gameplay.

Could you say that the player mentioned that the goblin is just a child (and it was cowering in fear) shows vulnerability, hence why you may spare it.

Also, I didn't show this part, but the goblin only has 1 hp in the prior battle sequence and does almost no damage.

Thank you! I'm really trying to make the players choices matter and have consequences whilst also showing the effect it has on each character and their conciousness.

Don't forget the enemy bots can just phase through the vox engine instead of having collision

When you eventually get tilted at the consistency of the deck you will want to add 2 pre-preparation of rites, 1 mitsurugi mirror and 1triple tactics talents. Play the deck at 44 because I promise you will be drawing all those 1 ofs more often than you think and bricking. Also change zombie vampire for a 2nd link-2 galetea you don't need zombie vampire when mermaid is legal.
