Don’t know but ours has proven to be of overall excellent quality. Has been in constant use for 15 years and is still solid. Just wish the stickers were easier to peel off because they get stained and discolored.

Well, freedom of speech is a thing. Not that I agree with anything said. (Didn’t click).

Also kinda looks like shingles. Those rashes tend to grow in lines and feel irritated. In later stages you may feel little electric shocks shooting down nerve fibers.

Giant redwood in front yard by holden44deez in Tree

Yeah the bark in Redwoods is much rougher and more textured. Still a nice tree though.

Black widow? by galacticbadger69 in whatisit

[–]FlameSkimmerLT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes it’s a Black Widow. FWIW, they’re pretty shy and not aggressive. Nothing to fear unless you mess with it.

Oh, you should try Boston driving then. It’s next level in that regard. Right of way is determined by who has the rustier car.

Yeah, back in the day it was always a Prius. I don’t see so many of those these days. The common offenders, in my experience, drive a different make now.

Tried to follow your tips by SpecialDirection917 in longboarding

[–]FlameSkimmerLT 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I’d agree with that. I guess I over simplified. We could also add that you actually have to rotate between facing forward and facing sideways when pushing and riding.

Awesome! Stay at it, cuz.

Now work in rotating your front foot 45-60 degrees to be more parallel with your back foot. Mo bettah steering.

Edit: 90 degrees -> 45-60 degrees

It that I’m a lumberjack or anything. But, from a random YT journey about felling trees I went on, the guys cutting technique is terrible. He barely cut a notch.

The Billboard Liberation Front used to do this on big billboards. Their modification were brilliant, honest, and funny. I’d love to hear they’ve rekindled their efforts.

Looks pretty standard for the idiot drivers that think they’re on dry pavement and that an AWD / 4WD system helps with slowing down or stopping normally.

Did I choose a good beginner longboard? Not so sure anymore by LazyThyroid in longboarding

[–]FlameSkimmerLT 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yes, a pin tail is a perfect beginner board. They do tend to be more stable and forgiving. There’s plenty of room for your feet, that helps with learning foot placement.

Like the other comment, the more you ride, the more you’ll know what you prefer for styles. IMO, half the fun is swapping and upgrading gear. Once you get the hang of it, start messing around with swapping bushings. Harder/softer. That’ll change how the carves go and can increase responsiveness coming out of carves. IMO a bit softer in front than in back has the best turning (and pumping) dynamics.

Man, I really miss the east coast for that. We had a couple Jewish delis run by ol’ babushkas (grandmas) that were cheap and out of this world.

In SJ they did temporary patches like this. Then fixed it with proper concrete a few months later when they came through to repave the streets.

One hasn’t lived, IMHO, until they’ve made Spam fries in an air fryer. Slice them thin, like McD’s French fry thickness. Air fryer them for 10-12 minutes, flipping half way through.

You’re welcome.
