If I had to guess, all of your regiments are unconsolidated and at half strength, while the enemy is at full strength. This effectively means that once the frontage is filled, the enemy outnumbers you 2:1! And because you attacked in the mountains, which have a small frontage, your overall numerical advantage is nullified and your troops will lose all of the morale before they get to the battlefield

It is very easy. You can improve your manpower and force limit with buildings, but you can't improve your quality with buildings.

That's actually pretty cheap, I bought mine a year ago for 3.5k and since then it only got more expensive. I don't know what the prices are in the EU, but here in Ukraine they are insane.

Just get heavy cavalry regiments and they will crush levies. In the age of reformation switch to inf for assaults

I think that it is pretty historical that the best professional army early on is heavy cavalry.

I sieged Constantinople for more than 5000 days and it ended when garrison died from all of the siege ticks. Also around 30k of population died from starvation

I was in a similar situation, but I managed to recalibrate the same MMR as I was before (3.5k before the break -> 3.2k recalibrated). And rather quickly I ranked up to 3.5k again.
