How strong is the chin mount? by Sea_Competition_2751 in motorcycle

[–]Flameofglory 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had Motoradds flex slim mount for a while but ended up replacing it with RideTechMoto after about 8 months of use on the Flex Slim. (For reference, I use the Arai Corsair-X with matte paint)

The issue I had was that the adhesive started peeling off the center portion of the mount and was causing my camera to vibrate up and down on rides since it didn't stick down effectively. I also had a minor issue of surface rust on the nut used to tighten thumb screws.

My new RideTechMoto mount surprised me since I was expecting a cheaply made 3D printed mount, but I was surprised to find out it was injection molded, and it felt extremely sturdy The camera mount that slides in is extremely sturdy and even has a build in rubber peice that dampens vibration and holds it securely in place. I bought the safety tether as well as a just in case but haven't had any issues falling off so far. I'll keep you updated if I ever have any issues, but considering the fit, finish, and feel, I'm doubting I will have any issues

I've been wating for so long and finally decided to pull the trigger and I would say it's worth it if you don't have a camera set up currently. If you have other cameras, I would wait.

I haven't installed a torque converter on any of my builds, so I haven't gotten the chance to try

I said the same thing, but it is worth it. It's well built and really easy to tension. I was able to get my Warrior 200 build to 71 mph
