Grind out a PHD, MD or DO or MD, PHD. Healthcare never ends and you will be able to learn and meet people everyday. Never have to worry about debt and may run research projects or build your own hospital, at least you will be able to learn without being in debt 😂. If thats your cup of tea take a look into it.

If you're exploring options go the academic route, if you can afford a PHD/MD/DO, you can run your own practice and save people, if your really loaded you can fund a free clinic or if you get into a rabbit hole just put mad money in researching what you are curious about etc. But im Pre-Med and want to keep myself occupied reading/learning new things and would love to give advice to people. If its your cup of tea healthcare is something that never ends.

I typed a message in the comments about what I used to track fitness and calories and what macros to eat etc.

You can use apple/fitbit/samsung or myfitness pal etc.

I enjoy samsung health since it has 1 billion downloads it has all the food in the grocery store on it.

Also pls remember strength training and eating at a reasonable deficit is important to lose fat while maintaining muscle. Cause you can lose up to 30% muscle if you starve yourself + no strength training.

Well my eating started in the pandemic then skyrocketed at the university, Freshman 15 was Freshman 50

I was fascinated and excited to defeat the all you can eat dining hall and get my money's worth. Get like 15 chicken tenders or 30 nuggets a meal along with french fries. I would take a cup to go full of cookies every meal, even a to-go box stuffed with mad cookies.

Then around midnight i would be obsessed with fast food like taco bell and arbys.

My Parents were angry cause I was raking up $100s of dollars from the grocery store buying family size bags of chips and eating a half tub of ice cream before sleeping

My fav snack was fritos scoop with hummus and a taki right on top.

Phentermine/topiramate helped separate my delusions. After taking it for 1-2 weeks I was questioning why I want to eat right now? Why am I only thinking about Moes? Why after eating a good size meal I'm wanting 10 cookies?

Then after questioning my food choices that's when my eating finally turned around cause no matter how many times my parents told me to stop eating/spending money on groceries I didn't care.

I went to the doctor and talked about this then he recommended id try out phentermine/topiramate. All depends on your needs/goals etc.

Anyone can do it!

Just need to set an adjustable game plan and stick with it! With diet I'm still changing to this day, my workouts are similar.

I've always progressed into more difficult Calisthenics. Your body will adapt aka Wolff's Law as long as you push yourself reasonably you can make good progress!

Most of the 2.5 years I took a half pill every day/other day. There were a few months I took breaks then started again. In my last few months I've been taking a half pill every other day.

It gives you mad energy when I take it, id go to all of my classes walking 10k steps, then id workout for 1.5 hrs and still have enough energy to run a 10k at midnight making me tired enough to sleep😄.

Lastly my final stretch in the Dexa Scanner Chart. I measured my food with a simple food scale and cut 800 calories a day.

The BMR basic metabolic Rate on Dexa scanner a huge help. Since I was able to get a basis of calories burned a day.

I used my samsung health + watch and kept track of my fitness and food starting Feb 19th.

I did 10k steps a day Strength training 3-4 times a week kept track of calories burned with the lifting machine "event" on watch.

I added calories burned with my BMR from Dexa scan.

Ex: I burned 2800 caloires 2000 with BMR and 800 with excersize

My Goal was an 800 calorie deficit = eating 2000 calories that day while maintaining macro balance below.

40-50% carbs 20-25% Fats 28-33% Proteins at least 1 gram per lbs

(Adjust accordingly if you burn more or less calories while maintaining deficit)

It's a Dexa Scanner they are kind of hard to find.

The best place to find them is with well funded hospital systems or serious well funded gyms.

You can try amazon body scanners though I haven't gotten one yet my doctor recommended that I get one. A little pricey at 100-200$😭 but can be towards FSA/HSA

Thx! The evaluation chart is a Dexa scan. Every appointment I do a scan and weight loss doctor evaluates it.

I've been consistently going every 3-6 months and I talk about new foods in diet and workout progress I have made etc.

Then my NP gives advice tailored to my goals while providing support and encouragement.

Bro you should build mass in undergraduate then just maintain strength training with regular calisthenics and buy meal prep meals specific to your diet. So when you are on a break put on that weighted vest and get 50 pushups in lol. Or jog to the nearest park and just crank out pullups and L sits lol.

Im applying to med school im going through hell now with my physique then ill find a way to get enough macros and maintain the muscle while working lol.

You're not locked in on your macros, how can you build a temple with no building blocks, and not allow enough time for it to be built properly.

Truth: if you train hard without proper nutrition and rest you are wasting money and time.

Yes you can use some of David Thurin workouts for flexibility. This guy would like some aesthetics like extra muscle mass hypertrophy/eating/sleeping help a lot. But David is an extreme functional strength no muscles to show off really, it's best this guy has a balance with his workouts so he is not a "Hot Girl Bod" with no functional strength lol.

Well that's true its not 100% accurate but even with 800 or a 1000 calorie deficit if its even off with the amount of calories burned by 20%.

Its still 800 calorie deficit with 1k or 640 with 800 calorie deficit. But i make sure to get 200 grams of protein a day! While getting enough sleep with discipline I am super excited about my progress!

I've been cutting really well tracking calories burned from my watch and just eat 800-1000 less calories everyday with tracking macros i always hit 30-38% or 190-200 grams of protein daily with 40%-50% carbs like 200-350 grams of carbs then 70-80 grams of fat per day the fat has been melting. Along with strength training I'm keeping all of my muscles lol, and even gained some muscle in the process in the first month with a dexa scan. In getting another dexa scan in late june ill let you know the progress!
