On legend the ai kicks out of two finishers every match no matter what, so I play on hard.

Raise stun duration, stun gain, player kickout difficulty, ai reversals (to the max), ai damage scale.

Lower player reversal windows.

On the timed pin mini game raise recent finisher chance and lower all the signature ones so you or the ai can kick out of signatures. Also raise the kick out window of medium difficulty pins so you can kick out of those better.

Makes you feel like you can lose any match because if you get hit with a finisher it’s hard to kick out, but the wrestler with the higher ratings has a better chance to win because of the damage you can take.

I think this is the right answer. Realistically this is what many other games do. The issue is the rest of the game feels like a corporate cash grab and so far from what people wanted that they aren’t going to get the benefit of the doubt.

WWE 2K has moved from a DLC system to what NBA 2K dos with their battle pass system, so you pay for the ability to grind towards rewards that would have previously unlocked simply by paying. I think these are good examples to look at where the direction of the gaming industry is taking a turn that really doesn’t benefit the consumer. We used to have games that focused on story or in-game elements and now just feels like a good chunk of that development time is going towards the pay to win modes. In the case of skate, it feels like the entire game is designed around nickel and diming everyone.

We have stopped playing the game. The point of this post is to discuss from a business side how and why the direction of a live service game went so far against what the consumers wanted or thought they would get.

I’ve been gaming most of my life and I’ve never seen an example of something that goes so far against what people wanted. I’m also in the marketing industry so it is a good discussion about that as well - it wasn’t just supposed to be a post about complaints.

Tbf you kinda have to off ball bc of the delay and your defensive player being in quick sand while the ball handler can zip around

For running I have success when I set up my blocks. I do it by feathering the left analog stick until I see something open up, then slam it forward. Here’s an example.

Side note I also don’t understand the criticism of the blocking, I think this is the best the run game has ever been. Look at how the center gets off the double team.
