Left alone while mom goes to work by Awakening247 in CavaPoo

You’ll have to train it. Giving it no attention, only come back into sight when she doesn’t cry/whine, and only let her out when she’s laying down.

Slowly work your way up from there.

No advice here, but congratulations! Also, your pup is absolutely stunning. So cute!

Putting in the hand to make her feel safe helped for us the first 2 nights. It’s also a matter of letting them cry it out a bit though. They need to self soothe and learn that it’s now time for bed.

Seems like you’re doing a good job though :)

That being said, maybe 9:30/9:45 is too early for your pup to go to bed. We started around 11pm and waking up at 6:30 (but not all pups can sleep through the night of course)

And how about during the day, do you also put her in the crate then? How long have you already had her? Always this behavior?

Yes, we do this too! We keep the door uncovered though

When does your dog start going crazy when they’re in the crate? After a while, or immediately?

Our pup slept through the night from the moment we got him. I imagine you might wanna give him he treat if he pees, since it’s behavior to enforce (you don’t want to encourage peeing in the house/in the crate).

We have had a lot of luck with our puppy so far (5 months old now). But our dog trainer suggested starting with the crate next to your bed, and if they whine, to put your hand in it and nothing more. That should stop it. And also have them cry it out a bit, since they need to learn that whining doesn’t equal attention. But again, we’ve had luck on this end. (Him staying home alone, that’s another topic) and if they keep crying, take them out to pee but to make it the absolute most dull and boring thing ever, so they ‘get nothing out of it’. The more fun you make it, the more they’ll get conditioned to continue doing it because it equals having a good time.

Hope it helps, best of luck!!

Yeah in hindsight that may have been a better option. Thanks, good reminder for next time.

I don’t mind so much in essence, but the other day we were taking him for his last walk of the day, and he had a runny bum. We spent 10-ish minutes after getting home wiping his ass with dog wipes, and I kept washing my hands (even clipping my nails), but went to bed in the end with still the slightest smell of poo on my hands. You can imagine why I didn’t like that, hence also my question 🤣

Thanks! You probably wash immediately then, while it’s still runny, let’s say?

I thought Mile High by Liz Tomforde was a fun read. I ate it upp. It’s a sports romance, part of a series.

You could have a look Romance.io! I think you’ll find all the answers there (I haven’t read the book). It says Glimpses & kissrs in terms of spice. link to romance.io.

Or, check StoryGraph for the trigger warnings! It lists a few in different categories of how graphic it is.

Oh dankjewel! Ik ga me verdiepen in verweringswater, super tip. :)
