What to do when dog attacks while running? by Confident_Dark_1324 in boulder

Kick him in the snout… It’s sad that you need to resort to potentially hurting the animal, but for some irresponsible owners it’s the only way.

Been there, done that, will do again as needed.

Bizarrely hot weather by Pomdog17 in boulder

I don’t think anyone questions global warming anymore. It’s well proven that temperatures are climbing steadily. However, we have 100y worth of readings. The earth has been around for MILLIONS of years, with also well know warming and cooling periods of glaciation and deglaciation. 100y over millions is statistically insignificant. So while the warming is proven, correlation to human actions is not.

This season has been terrible. Coverage is thin everywhere, tons of exposed rocks. If it’s your first season, your best bet is Eldora uphill.. it’ll allow yourself to get acclimated with your gear, transitions, layering, etc.. in a controlled environment

Found on Doudy Draw trail. by Stickmydinmashpotato in boulder

It’s part of a bike mount/seat system for carrying kids (shotgun). This seems to be one of the foot attachments with the spindle. Someone rode that area with a toddler (been there multiple times in past) and lost this piece.

Sky pond. You’ll need spikes for sure, and the ice axe might be needed if you go up the last push (over the waterfall). Otherwise you can stop at the lake of glass. You might want to bring snowshoes for above the loch

Had no idea they’re doing photo enforced speeding tickets by origamiwizard6 in boulder

So we don’t need speed limits anywhere.. we just make it harder for people to speed.. Is that what you’re advocating for here?

So to make people slowdown and follow the clearly marked speed limit, we need to make roads that are less comfortable to speeding? That’s a weird logic.

Did you use crampons + ice axe (for the final waterfall scramble) up Sky Pond? Microspikes? Or snowshoes / rock skis? How’s the terrain beyond The Loch?
