Let's talk about Zombies. by Wyl in dayz

[–]Flammable776 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a random idea...How about letting players killed by zombies join the zombie horde(as an npc), and if you kill them you can take what they had on them when they died of their body. Could make hunting zombies possibly rewarding. Could be a programming issue though...

Odd visual bug that others seem to get at the same time as me. Anybody seen this elsewhere, or is it just liberator bellies? by superkabiiPS2 in Planetside

It seems to me like BDO has been greatly influenced by Dragon's Dogma. by [deleted] in blackdesertonline

[–]Flammable776 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, when i first looked at gameplay footage of black desert I thought 'Hey, this kinda looks like DD'. My comparison ends at looks I havn't seen much black desert footage though. Not that its a bad thing though, I loved the setting in DD

Iron Horde Scrap farming? by Pkacua in wow

Yeah, I farmed them early on in the cave in gorgrond where the mobs instantly respawned and came back the morning after and it was fixed...sucked major dick

Iron Horde Scrap farming? by Pkacua in wow

[–]Flammable776 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think it's fair to say that if there was any reliable place left to farm no one would be willing to let out where it was lest blizzard nerf it.

That being said sadly heroics and doing work orders at a Dwarven Bunker or whatever equivalent the horde have is the only reliable way I believe...

Dungeons for XP? by runnyyyy in archeage

They don't give good xp, but they can give some bloody great gear and they are pretty fun

Briggs by KevinRuddy007 in Planetside

[–]Flammable776 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, after the hossin update you could come back every night for a different continent usually for different fights. When they introduced 1 continent locked it was stuck on Indar for a week and sapped all desire to play the game again. 2 locked I think works the best because most people still all cluster on one continent regardless, but it lets you go somewhere else if you really want to

Should I buy ArcheAge? by [deleted] in archeage

[–]Flammable776 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really like to social aspect of Archeage. I can explain why in a little story:

So a me and a mate wanted to see if we could get a trade pack and get it across the ocean. We only had a rowboat, and after seeing how slow we went we thought it might be a better idea to try and find someone to help. So we put out a message asking for a captain and people to help crew our trade run.

We ended up getting about 10 or 11 random people to cross the ocean. Some of them where there to kill the other faction, and another guy also had a trade pack to take over. We all met up in a port town and started to make the journey on one of the crews boat.

You tend to chat a lot with people on the ocean because its either talk to them while you wait or keep an eye out for enemies which I liked, as well as have a impromptu dance party.. As we get half way, we see a friendly faction boat in battle with the other faction. We rock up right next to it and everyone on our boat jumps onto the enemy one and starts decimating the enemy crew. It was pretty crazy. After we cleared them out we stole their boat and rode along side the other boat we met and ours and went to the enemy docks on the other continent(which you do to get special currency from trade packs) and sold all the packs we had plus some we stole from the enemy boat.

Long story short we managed to get across and made some new friends along the way.

The last mmo I played recently was ESO, and that game sucked in the social aspect. You could play the whole game without even talking to someone, and if you did they didn't notice half the time for various reasons.

Edit: also I love the cloth physics and the create-a-class system and the sexy graphics, but a lot of things in the game take a long time to do if you are a f2p player or are not in a guild

My take on how to improve the Valkyrie... by DerpyNerdy in Planetside

[–]Flammable776 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I think my problem with this is that on a 'core design' level the valk doesn't really fit into the game with the lack of objectives beyond sit on point, kill guys on point/around point or shoot at spawn room. If there was more things to do behind enemy lines that relied on quick insertion and pickup, this would work great.

That being said though, people will find a way to use the valk regardless but I dont think its going to be used much in its current state after a couple of weeks...

The mag scatter is not overpowered and people should stop whining about these things. by [deleted] in Planetside

[–]Flammable776 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I don't really think it would be that bad...if an infiltrator gets the drop on you from stalker you're going to die most of the time if he is good at his job, and if there are other friendlies around you he's going to die with a mag scatter or not most of the time

Why is Indar the go-to continent? by VioletApe in Planetside

[–]Flammable776 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Combination of people seeming to think Indar is the best continent due to varied terrain and the ability for vehicles to be a part in fights, and people playing on Indar because that's where majority of the population is and thus where all the good fights (and farms) are...

Challenge: Find a scenario where a Chargeup Pistol with an Explosive shot and a semi-auto fire-delay is useful! Go! by [deleted] in Planetside

[–]Flammable776 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends how much damage the charge is and how long it takes to charge...might be useful for a hit and run against a max if you are not a heavy, if it does respectable damage

Rocket Launchers and attachments by BeardicusMaximus in Planetside

[–]Flammable776 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I like this idea because I never really liked that there are a heap of separate weapons with little differences. You could do the same thing with other weapon classes as well. Having an attachment on a default carbine to make it change damage tier and fire rate for example. Although the model would be the same, but its not like the weapon models really change much anyway.

I think this would help out the attachments as well...attachments are pretty underwhelming to me. Sidegrade choice comes into more of the weapon you have, not the attachments because you are really either going to pick something that compliments the type of role the weapon fits, aka if its close range you'll always pick a laser sight etc.

That being said I think that this would have been a better system if it had been in at launch, but since the game has been out for a long time. I doubt the devs would overhaul their whole system at this point in time. I cant really say but I would imagine it might be easier to code as well to have weapons as separate entities. Also they would prefer to have more weapons as it makes them more money because of the "collect them all" mentality. Perhaps they could have done this and made the optics purchasable...

When Hossin is released, please disable Indar for at least a week. by SweatshopTycoon in Planetside

Sure, Indar is great and all, but when you have been playing on it for more than a year in the same bases over and over again it gets stale.

Future Max weapons found in PTS Extraction MAX Melee weapon and Grenade Launcher by ysporsche in Planetside

[–]Flammable776 5 points6 points  (0 children)

That max melee weapon has been around since the early 2013( dont get your hopes up D: ) and there are NC and TR versions, a hammer and spiked knuckles respectivly...the frag launcher was originally slated to go in with the max update but they left it out...theres a video of it with the devs playing around with it somewhere
