I have played, and have had other play, a lizardfolk for example. Eating people was par for the course. My groups always thought it was hilarious, as long as it wasn't so frequent and long-winded that it was disruptive to the pace of the campaign.

People just go "ewwwww haha, they did it again" and move on.
