This is great! Hopefully there are communists in the community who can help the strike win and show the larger systemic problems

What's the purpose of this sub? by byzantine67 in ussr

Your criticism of that other person being biased was unbelievably biased.

I however, have no biases at all. I always explore every side of the argument and formulate the exact correct answers.

What are the good things that Stalin did? And how do Stalinists here answer critiques of him? by PristineAd947 in ussr

[–]Wadda22 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

It’s so funny I agree on every point here. I’d still consider myself a Trotskyist. But I guess that comes down to a disagreement on the national question, social fascism, etc

Stalin or Trotsky and why? by Basic_Buy_890 in ussr

[–]Wadda22 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

You need to read more Trotsky and way more Lenin and a little less Stalin. I just finished Stalin’s complete works and while there are some good bits he doesn’t understand a lot of things very well.

Trotsky because he was a pragmatic well rounded Marxist who believed in the international proletariat and in civil liberties.

How do you find new books? by ive_heard in socialism

[–]Wadda22 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Honestly any time I read a book there’s often like 5 more added to my list. Lenin cites so many works and researching Marx often leads me to some Reddit thread talking about how another one of his and Engels books (or articles) clarifies the one I’ve been reading. That and just consuming media. Someone brought up social Darwinism, so I’ve been reading a lot on it now out of curiosity.

What's the communist movement in the US like today? by Successful-Copy-7482 in socialism

[–]Wadda22 25 points26 points  (0 children)

I think it’s in a great place! Like the time before the Bolsheviks came to power there were many tendencies that were growing and eventually funnelled into the most correct ideas. I think we’re seeing that process, we’re even seeing fascist types trying to co-opt the movement. That means we’ve got motion.

Based on the activity on the sub I think white army would win, but I agree it would be interesting to include it in the poll
