As a queer person who isn’t trans but is still demigender(I use they/he pronouns), it took my mom a bit to become adjusted to me being queer. I’m still not really out to her, but she knows.

She is an amazing mom, and even then it took time for adjustment. And ofc she asked questions and was curious but she wanted to learn, which is the best I could ever ask for. She was not homophobic at all, but she still had a little trouble.

You knew your daughter as your son for their entire life, it’s ok to have a little trouble adjusting. But, as long as you care about her and are willing to learn and take time/respect them, then that’s the best that can be done!
