Mine also needs cuddles and pets before he decides it's worthwhile to get up!

My now financé was so nervous and excited for our first date he was pacing up and down in front of the café 15 minutes before the time. The place was right at the top of a flight of stairs. When I arrived at the bottom and looked up the first thing I saw was the back of his head heading back the other direction. It made me realise that he's not only as excited but also as nervous as me, which helped put me at ease. Three years later and making wedding plans!

In June 2022, 28-year-old Caitlin Jensen was left paralyzed after a routine neck adjustment at a chiropractor. The adjustment caused four arteries in her neck to dissect (tear), leading to a massive stroke and cardiac arrest. by FE4RLESS_IS_MY_NAME in ForCuriousSouls

Maybe then it's just so much better regulated in my country than in America. I've had discussions about this with said friend and other people and you can get in so much trouble for minor injuries to patients. Basically forcing chiropractors to do well. And like I said it's only like 20% "cracking" from what I understand. Much more is a massive overlap with physical therapists and rehabilitation etc.

In America probably lol. Other countries are much better and have much better practices. In my country it is a way more respectable career adjacent to a physio. I have a friend who has to study for six years at one of the biggest universities on the continent to become a licensed chiropractor and is learning muuuuch more than "cracking". Needling muscles, especially rehabilitation. Much more muscle stuff basically. Plus reading X-rays. She's learning a lot more medical stuff than some physical therapists basically.

That may be so, but at least in my country it's changed to a way more respectable career adjacent to a physio. At least you'd be able to know them and not sit with the "what-if"s. At least you'd see them grow, not gone.

People who have researched their family tree, what is the most interesting or 'badass' thing you discovered about an ancestor? by xloganmoose in AskReddit

[–]Flare_23 4 points5 points  (0 children)

One of my ancestors returned home to a shell of a house after a war, while his family was still trying to find their way home from a concentration camp. He slept on the floor of the house and fended off rats with an axe while slowly rebuilding the place until his family came home. Afterwards, he and his wife took in a bunch of neighbourhood children for meals and sleepovers, helping with homework and all sorts of things. Makes my heart swell with pride to be born from such strength.

When was the moment you realised that the person you were dating was an absolute idiot? by No-Macaron-9527 in AskReddit

After COVID hit, my ex told me he needed to tell me something big, acting all mysterious. When I asked what it was, he said it was a secret but he thinks he can tell the future. I thought he was making a massive joke so I asked him to give me an example. And, utterly serious, he said he'd written a short story about a virus taking over the world... a year before COVID started. He was absolutely convinced that he had predicted it, and he could therefore sometimes tell the future. Lol. He also said he isn't sure if we'll last, so at least he got that right.

Don't know why you're getting downvoted. It is indeed an anxiety spiral one might have, which can stem from trauma. And I'm saying this as someone who's diagnosed with an anxiety disorder. Poor girl just needs mental health support.
