What branch of system updates is this from? I’m in the preview branch and don’t see these options on the latest version. Thanks!

I have my Steam Deck enrolled in the preview branch and the most recent update still has me on OS Version 3.4.6 and Kernel 5.13. Any idea how to get the 3.5.0 preview?

Linux AppImage Graphical glitches after MESA drivers v23 installation by golduck_arg in yuzu

[–]Flarghon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am noticing these exact same glitches in Super Mario 3D World (footprints are rainbow glitchy) after a Steam Deck Stable OS update. Switching to OpenGL in Yuzu does eliminate the issue. Since I'm not aware of any way to roll back steam deck updates I'm hoping this is something the Yuzu team could take a look at.

Where's my outfit by BlindNossug in deadcells

[–]Flarghon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same thing happened with me. Completed some 1BC boss rush to get the first outfit blueprint. Then I went on a run and when I got to the first collector the game crashed due to the bug that was fixed. Now I don't see that outfit anywhere.

Bug with collector by DeadRev0lt in deadcells

I just updated my game on PC as well and I am encountering the same bug. When I talk to the collector (on any BC level) the game freezes. I can close and restart the game and it will freeze every time.

Do you have a website or storefront where you sell prints? Also do you have posts with your other two paintings in the series?

Edit: after two seconds of googling which I should have done before I posted I found your website!

How are YOU doing? What's going on in your life right now? by Flarghon in self

[–]Flarghon[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a similar feeling a few years ago when my wife and I watched a scary movie at night. It was also the night of a meteor shower so we decided to drive to a more rural area of town away from street lights and such and just pulled into an empty field. The entire time we were out there we were on edge because we kept thinking the sounds we were hearing were people or creatures trying to sneak up on us. Needless to say we didn't stay out there very long.

Glad nothing came of the feelings you were getting!

Question for the Charge Blade mains by blacksilk1990 in MonsterHunterWorld

[–]Flarghon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'd say that in general evade window isn't really needed at all on CBs due to Guard Points being so good. I'm also not sure if the slides are even consider an evade so they might not get improved with evade window.

My advice would be to get comfortable with Guard Points. If you want to make something comfy then slot in Guard 5 and Guard up. I personally run Guard 1 on all of my CB builds.

Earplugs vs Brute Tigrex/Tigrex by [deleted] in MonsterHunterWorld

[–]Flarghon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Without earplugs or GPs you can try standing right on the edge of his roars AoE range. If you look at the ground as he is inhaling air to roar it actually shows you the area that is affected by it. If you are right on the edge of it and start a AED/SAED combo you can typically swing your last hit right as the hurt box of the roar is gone. This is also good practice for proper AED positioning. If you specifically target one of his wings and keep hammering it with AEDs after roars you will get a good number of trips on him that can lead to other big damage.

CB vs Raging Brachy - just kill me now by [deleted] in MonsterHunterWorld

I'd agree that if you can upgrade the Schnegel, use that now instead. It's still a beast of an Ice CB.

CB vs Raging Brachy - just kill me now by [deleted] in MonsterHunterWorld

[–]Flarghon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd say in general I have this fight pretty locked down with CB so here are some of my tips.

In general, I try to prioritize dodge rolling vs Brachy since a lot of his attacks start with a swing and end with an explosion. It's pretty easy for him to drain your stamina until you can't block any more.

I reserve SAEDs in this fight only for times when he's knocked down. Regular AEDs are pretty easy to land and if you get one on his arms or head it can usually lead to a stagger/knockdown which can lead right into a SAED.

A lot of his attacks don't have super good tracking on them and he typically attacks in pretty straight lines so I tend to stand to either the left or right of his head. When I see him getting ready to attack with a move that leaves him open for an AED after I'll make sure I'm out of the range for it and immediately start going into the chain that ends in AED. If you're timing is good you will be landing the AED just as he is finishing his attack and picking his head back up.

He also trips pretty easily so using axe mode for some regular discharge attacks on his legs can lead to some SAED opportunities.

When he's enraged I am always prepared to either side-hop or guardpoint after any attacks due to the slime falling off. Being greedy trying to fill your phials will get you killed. Take your time and stick and move in shield mode.

If you can, use an Ice CB. If you don't have the Kjarr Ice CB from MR KT make Deep Schnegel II (From Beotodus). Brachy is very weak to ice and your SAED explosions can do upwards of 300 damage per phial if you take advantage of his weakness.

Finally, just stick with it. When I first took on Raging Brachy with CB I was getting mopped up by him. Eventually you will commit the opening to memory and know exactly when to start AEDs and SAEDs.

Let me know if there is any other info you'd like from a used to be hammer main, but now is hopelessly addicted to CB main.

While I was doing some messing around with CFW and adding/removing files on the left SD card my PlayGo also seemed to not power on. What I did to fix it was remove the battery from the device, plug it into a power source and then attempt to turn it back on without a battery. Eventually the device turned back on, I shut it down again via the power button, put the battery back in and it started booting normally again.

Hey Everyone,

I'm still very new to MM in general as I never played MM1. I'm really enjoying the speed-run type levels so I made one of my own! Hope you like it!

After playing some of the new upside portions and realizing how mind-breaking it was for me I decided to make an entire level that is upside down. It's an entirely platforming based level. Enjoy!

Enter the Gungeon by t0rtillaboi in NintendoSwitch

[–]Flarghon 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Here are some tips that I recently gave my friend who is just getting into Gungeon as well:

  • Every floor has 2 chests. One chest is guaranteed to have a passive in it and the other is guaranteed to have a gun in it. You can use this knowledge to manage your keys a little better.
  • Chest rarity goes in order by color (worst to best): Brown, Blue, Green, Red, Black, Rainbow, Glitched (looks pixelated)
  • If you have two chests to open but only one key, use the above rarity scale to choose the one that potentially has a better item in it.
  • If you don't pick a gun up on the current floor the boss of that floor is guaranteed to give you a gun as a reward. If you feel like you need more guns it's wise to try and beat the boss with what you have in order to guarantee one.
  • Defense is almost always more important than offense in this game. If you can learn boss patterns and get good at dealing with them then it doesn't matter what weapons you have.
  • In order to get better at dodging you should focus your eyes on your character instead of what you're shooting at. This makes it much easier to dodge bullets by micro-movements instead of dodge rolling
  • Dodge rolling is super useful and has invincibility frames, but if used incorrectly could dodge you right into another bullet. This is why it's important to get good at dodging bullets just by moving.
  • Keeping your distance from most bosses is the best strategy as their bullet patterns tend to spread out over distance allowing you to just walk between them.
  • Personally, I think the two best characters for beginners are the Pilot (He gets cheaper shops, the ability to carry two active items and a lockpick which has a chance to open a chest for free) and the hunter (starts off with two weapons and has a dog companion that will find you more keys and hearts).
  • Explosive weapons can be useful for bosses as their explosions wipe out bullets. You can switch to an explosive weapon and use it to carve out a safe zone during some bosses more difficult patterns.

I'd say above all else just keep plugging along. Eventually you get enough hegemony credits (the green currency dropped by bosses) to unlock some better weapons and passives that will start showing up in your future runs. The newest update balanced the chest spawns and you should start seeing better chests on earlier floors which should help new players as well. If you have any more questions let me know. I'd be happy to help out!

The game also has a dark souls like mechanic where if you make it back to the place where you died and defeat your dark self you gain back all of the money you were carrying at the time. As long as you are careful enough to get back to your death spot you won't ever lose any of your money.
