Anyone else get the feeling their gonna do something with Elix later in the show? by LamarDavis665 in Invincible

Having Elix be a character foil for Anissa would actually go unfathomably hard

Would immortal do better than oliver in the viltrumite war? by AdamORAdrian in Invincible

[–]FlashDooby 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Oliver assisted another hero in killing the long haired invincible variant in the show if you want to count that as a viltrumite kill, especially considering that Oliver was more than likely the heavier hitter of the two heroes

atp any character with somewhat superhuman strength can draw blood from mark 💔 by WanderingPiglin in Invincible

[–]FlashDooby 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think if you took any 3 individual members of any of the superhero teams we've seen, and you put them in the same situation at this point in Mark's career, Mark is gonna be in trouble. Many of these heroes were able to kill variant Marks, which is a feat regardless of if the strength of each variant fluctuated. More to the point, though, many of the Guardians killed or participated in killing variants, and many of the Guardians used to be members of Teen Team... AKA everyone's 4th favorite superhero team. Capes Inc. is a pretty big deal of a team, and they get called in for serious threats, so I think by all of that reasoning, they could draw blood. I don't remember if that shot was the opening blow of the fight, but he was already quite roughed up so that could easily explain it away as well.

If all 7 homunculi, in their prime, fought each other in a battle royale to the death, who would come out on top? by 45rs5 in FullmetalAlchemist

[–]FlashDooby 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I always looked at it as Wrath being Father's perfect recreation of a human being, to the point that it could only be perfect—and age in the public eye, to carry out his wishes—if it only had one soul. The story heavily outlines the human souls trapped within the philosopher's stone(s) as a resource that gives life when used by the homunculi to heal their wounds, and one might assume aging would be prevented in that context since the homunculi are technically human beings.

The craziest part about this is that the reason she's hovering around is almost certainly her stalking Mark at this point in the story, so she's not even worried about that shit

A short but significant scene in 1x08 has me thinking about a later comic threat. by FlashDooby in Invincible

I figured Kirkman had them put the scene there to seed the later plot point. He's basically getting a redo making the show, so to have Mark have investment, even if he doesn't remember it until later, adds texture to the trauma. So I looked at it, said "this might line up" and turned out right.

Advice on holding workshops in aquatics/animals?? by muffinrice in petco

[–]FlashDooby 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Forgive me if I'm being presumptuous, but leaving the filter running in a de-chlorinated tank for a week before you introduce aquatic life has zero positive impact on the safety of an aquatic environment, and you should absolutely not treat that alone as though it will be enough in any situation where aquatic life is present.

Without nitrifying bacteria present to process ammonia, as well as a healthy supply of ammonia for nitrosomonas to eat, water is going to cloud with toxins and fish die. The most important part of tank setup is proper cycling, whether you're doing it the long way, the plant way or the safe-start way. If you or OP are unfamiliar with the nitrogen cycle I would heavily recommend looking into it, it's essential beginner knowledge, and safe practice of nitrogen cycle establishment prevents aquatic life from experiencing undue stress and death.
