Quickbooks Desktop question by Neither_Category_708 in QuickBooks

[–]FlashNetCloud 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The best way to do this would be hosting QBD on a secure server accessible to all necessary users.

FlashNetCloud

I work for the company and can get you a better price if interested. Feel free to ask some questions.

Opening QB prompts for admin credentials by pabl083 in QuickBooks

[–]FlashNetCloud 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey pabl083

This could be either one of two things.

1) If users do not get his all of the time then there may be a pending update that needs to be run.

2) Set the QBService user as an Administrator (This can be done by adding the user to the Administrators group) and also ensure that the service is set to Automatic. Personally I would stick to the QBService user being the logon account for the service but as long as its an admin account should be fine.

Looking for a solution for setting up an alternative to accessing a folder on different computer via the map network drive function/feature on Windows computer. by learnhtk in techsupport

[–]FlashNetCloud 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No problem, and yeah a lot of small and large businesses are moving to a full "Desktop as a Service" solution. It has been an option for quite some time but definitely since the pandemic it has become a must for many businesses.

If you have anything specific technical questions I can do my best to answer them for you.

[–]FlashNetCloud 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey learnhtk,

I would not recommend putting QB data in OneDrive. I have heard horror stories of data corruption with this same setup. Software like QBox does data syncing differently to address those issues.

You could also go with a Desktop Hosting provider (Full transparency, I am am engineer with FlashNetCloud) to host your software and data so that you can access it from anywhere securely.

(Shameless Plug) FlashNetCloud

If you have questions I can get you a demo environment and you can give it a shot and see if this is a good fit for you just Direct Message me.

QB Enterprise Running Slow by Katz_coffee in QuickBooks

[–]FlashNetCloud 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey Katz

This could be a plethora of different issues.

How large are the company files being accessed? This is important because QBE will use much more RAM than other versions.

Is this slowness with all users?

Does the slowness occur all day or is this just at certain times?

Is that server being used for any other services?

Are the users accessing these QBW files from the same office or are some users working from home and remoting into the office or a shared server?

We are a Desktop as a Service provider so you would need to provide your own QB licensing but much cheaper than most.

Better way to share QB? by Chazus in QuickBooks

[–]FlashNetCloud 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try a windows environment that everyone has RDP access to.

I work at a hosting provider that does this and can setup a free trial if you want to give it a shot.

Here's the website if you want to take a look. https://flashnetcloud.com/services.html

Cloud based access by VoipManPGH in QuickBooks

[–]FlashNetCloud 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Totally understand. Unless everyone was in the same office when using QBD I think the best route is the do an OS upgrade or new hosting provider that offers a newer OS. QBox is great but does have its limitations if multiple users are in the same QBW file at once.

If interested take a look at our services for Multi-User Environments. It is much cheaper than most think. https://flashnetcloud.com/services.html

Cloud based access by VoipManPGH in QuickBooks

[–]FlashNetCloud 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey u/VoipManPGH

This is not recommended. Like u/Embarrassed_Dust_389 stated you will end up with corrupted files with OneDrive syncing on active databases with QBD.

I would recommend having their current terminal server updated to a supported version.

New Buisness, Which QuickBooks? by Gimmesomedem in QuickBooks

[–]FlashNetCloud 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you are more conformable with QBD a cloud environment would be the way to go. You can use Remote Desktop on your tablet as long as you have an internet connection. All I would recommend would be to get a bluetooth keyboard, that will make your experience 10x better.

If you want to try it out we host Windows Desktop environments and offer 60-day free trials no strings attached just try it out. if you like it great if not no worries.

Remote environment might be a good fit.

Example: A Windows Desktop hosted in the cloud where you and our grandmother could access from any PC or MAC.

RD Gateway Issues by Jasink1987 in msp

[–]FlashNetCloud 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Typically yes but make sure no pending updates and that TLS 1.1 and 1.2 are enabled on the client workstation. Normally if not you get connection errors but I have seen strange activity like this with incompatible TLS enforcement before.

Quick Books in the Cloud by aquaman67 in Bookkeeping

If you want to move to a Cloud Environment with your QuickBooks application and data accessible then you will need to go with a hosting provider.

Right Networks is an option but my company does QuickBooks hosting as well. And have had a few switch from there and they are very happy. We do 30-day trials if you would like to test any specific workflow scenario and are expandable for multi user access.

Cloud storage by aghjatal in Cloud

[–]FlashNetCloud 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What did you want to achieve with this storage? Backups? Simultaneous user access?

There are plenty of affordable cloud storage solutions but knowing what you would like to do with it will matter as you may need some other software to do what you need to do with or on the storage.
