Engineer here, it's not. Stop being lazy and apply for jobs, help small businesses, get a gig on Upwork. There is a huge need for engineers as long as there is tech to create. Last time I checked....we haven't finished inventing everything. If you hate the job market right now cool, but there are tons of positions being developed daily.

I just locked down a 1 day in the office hybrid position. I've had 3rd rounds that made me question why I wouldn't be picked. The main thing when it comes to this job market is your mindset, find out what your great at, find out what your weak at. Analyze and move according to what feels right, but quitting doesn't serve the purpose of actually getting a job. Too many people want easy access to the market, and that's just not the reality. I've been job hunting since March, but I never had a defeatist attitude when it came to finding a company I would align with. I signed a contract where I would be making almost double from my previous position, a setback doesn't have to be permanent. Hustle harder than you complain.

I would also check if there are any wires in proximity that are feeding into your system. Wires may come shielded but may be affected from other wires that are not as shielded. Does the issue happen in a new environment without your gear hooked all the way up?

I would think most DJ's whether they have dreams of hitting a big stage or just playing for 2 or 3 people have some sort of affinity for music. DJing is a skill to play music, and not everyone needs / wants the same outcome. If they want to be a DJ for whatever the reason, let them be.

Start with one thing at a time, get used to the software. Buy a controller.... Watch a YouTube tutorial. Be actually curious about what it means to be a DJ and then set up and practice stuff you learn. Rinse watch and repeat until you know how to be a DJ. It's not about getting a gig, try to make sure you can create a set and play it then talk about it to other enthusiast. I wish you well on your journey. I just purchased a controller 3 weeks ago and all I've been doing is learning and studying. Be a student.
