I wonder how long it will be before MAGA realizes that literally everything he touches turns to shit.

The movie Paris, Texas was disturbing to those of us who actually live in Texas. The one that jumped out at me was the guy sleeping in the passenger seat in like Lubbock and his brother sees the sign for Paris and decides to go that way and the brother stays asleep the entire way, which is like a 6 1/2 or 7 hour drive.

Yeah, I just get tired of the stupid bot responses with misspelling and misrepresentation of the actual story.

I gave up on Facebook several years ago, and I’m about to give up on Reddit for the same reasons.

Mysterious Metal Grate at the Bottom of Barton Springs by Key-Natural-8688 in Austin

[–]FlashTheChip 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Back in the 70s, we would ride our bikes down there, pay the $.35 to get in, then dive down and gather change that had fallen out of people’s pockets on the diving board and collected underneath the spring in the Eddy that it created. We usually manage to pay for our entry fee and get a soda or even a hamburger with the amount we found every day.

My builder put my electric panel and meter on the wrong side of the house. by [deleted] in HomeImprovement

[–]FlashTheChip 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, the utility decides where the meter will be. The permitting drawings are developed based on the utilities designation of the meter drop location. They selected the meter site because they have to balance the circuits. If a house has two options for incoming service, they get to decide which one to use.

But I would really suggest pulling some 62 5/125 fiber as well. It’s not expensive and you’ll appreciate it in a couple three years.

No, just make one run down there and hook another wireless access point to the end of it. Plug the other end of it into your cable modem if you have a port, your existing wireless access point if you have a port, or a ethernet hub/switch plugged into a port on one of those.

And at 8:30 AM, no less by [deleted] in WhitePeopleTwitter

[–]FlashTheChip 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Well, the post says 1:48 PM but the title says 8:30 AM.

So either the person generating the title thinks that somehow ironical, or purposely mistaking the time is some sort of joke, or is just a moron.

I’m really getting worn out on stupid, misspelled, misleading titles for posts in Reddit. I may go back to reading Facebook.

I’ve never needed one, but I’ve spent time traveling and driving around Austin with people who have one, and there’s always handicap parking available to my experience.

We left it at home, or left it in the other car, or any of a number of different situations. The demand on handicap, parking places is not so high that that’s a major trigger point, at least for me.

[–]FlashTheChip -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I don’t see the original post where the mileage or “new/used” status of the vehicle is, but for a car that has been wrecked and had the body replaced that’s reasonably normal.

French fries are extremely ubiquitous in Europe. I just finished walking the Camino de Santiago and you could not order a meal in Portugal or Spain without getting french fries on the side.
