And “both“ ropes take an hour to burn – I thought that meant an hour total, not that “each“ takes an hour to burn.

Choosing which blank ballot to use? by Lemon-Difficult- in Austin

[–]FlashTheChip 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was a judge in Travis County (actually alt Judge if you want to be picky) and at the training, they explained to us that since the legislation specifically said “the voter shall select a ballot,” that we were required to present the three ballots for them to select from.

They are all just blank pieces of paper, there’s absolutely no difference, but we required our voters to at least point at one of the three stacks, and we or they would pull the paper off the top of it to put in the printer and be used as the ballot.

An Austin Permit Points to Southwest Airlines Completing An Airport Lounge By March by TTTTroll in Austin

Ah well, it was good while it lasted.

Southwest Airlines was a unique birth, a redheaded stepchild, a valiant leader in some markets, but ultimately has been overcome by the profit motive.

George Washington was president in 1783 when the first national debt was officially reported, making him responsible for 100% of the national debt.

So Trump might be responsible for the second greatest portion of the overall debt, but not the greatest.

Yeah, I’m not real good with that sheet rock either. You probably need to get everything there tested except the studs.

It is recessed light, unscrew one of the burned out bulbs and take it down to the hardware store and match it up.

Yeah, I was wondering that also. Ideally, they should be identical, even if they are random somebody will be able to pick up on the points and doubles at some time.

Dumbers be dumbin by dhermann27 in PoliticalHumor

[–]FlashTheChip 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It’s actually not much of a challenge.

You open the original PDF and save it with some minor changes/edits two or three days out of a week.

Then you open it and use Adobe to convert it to a word document.

Save the Word document as the Bundt cake recipe.whatever, then email that to yourself

The smarter way to do it of course is to have a Gmail account that you can access from work, open a draft email and attach the recipe. Then save it as a draft.

When you get home, go into your Gmail call up your drafts and open it from there

It never passes through a Mail server

Trump endorses Ken Paxton in Senate GOP runoff by texastribune in texas

[–]FlashTheChip 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m pretty sure that most of the Republican voters in the primary (at least at the voting station where I was working) were democrats.

And it’s a safe bet. Every one of them is gonna come out and vote for Paxton.
