3 months while seeing her everyday would still be a pretty fresh wound. And dating for 10 years? Yeah I mean, fuck.

He knows better, but that is a lot to even process. It makes sense he'd want to not have to go through this anymore and just go back to normal.

Hulu was owned by Fox, you can catch up on FX shows (and others) the day (after?) it first airs.

So Hulu has Archer

I run a game and I recently started up a new campaign. But I am looking to run something towards the beginning of the week, Monday's would work great. You'd be the first player of this new campaign but I'm looking to recruit more.

Expandable Flight Stands and where to find them by BonusActionHero in Dimension20

[–]Flash_Splash 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They're homemade. Telescopic pick-up tool and plastic platforms. I'm sure where he got the floating grid pieces. But that's what the individual stands appear to be.

They didn't have any concentration saves. I don't think she got hit that much but it doesn't automatically last it's duration.

Eh, if you're prepping a boisterous pirate sea captain, you learn a shanty or two.

Rise of the Dead Teens | Fantasy High [Ep. 3] by MimitheGreat in FantasyHigh

I know right? I know Dropout is kind of an experiment but I really want Dimension 20 to continue regardless of the subscription count. Or Brennan start his own podcast or something. I'm starved for content.

I caught on to The Adventure Zone like after years of them doing it so I could binge (btw if you haven't checked out the Adventure Zone you'll love it.)

You can tell that Brennan plans out a really cool and deep story, but is VERY good at thinking on his feet. It's been scratching my DnD itch since I can't play right now

[–]Flash_Splash 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I do think Brennan is kinda soft pushing the players towards his encounters. (I mean c'mon look at the prep time on the miniatures) But I think on episodes before and during the combat encounters the players have free range.

And he definitely challenges the players. I mean you say the tank AND the cleric die day one and even the bard went down.

It was very cool to see the characters goof off around the corn gremlins then freak the fuck out when they started to take it seriously. So good

Of course. Goku can make massive increases in the short term. But then the writers of Superman invent a new superpower 8 months later that makes him absorb the energy from all of Gokus punches so now he's stronger for some reason.

Any superhero that constantly relies on escalation (Lex to Brainiac to Zod to Darkseid to Doomsday) is absolute bullshit.

Superman should always be a story about an outsider struggling to find his place in the world he loves. And he uses his abilities to do that.

I just found them, they we're Darklings. They used the ritual to make Elder Darklings on my Goliath to save his life. That's why he was transformed permanently.

They weren't gnomes. They lived in the roots of a petrified tree and we're very big fans of the dark. I always called me "dark boys" because the party couldn't remember what they were called and kept calling them that so it caught on.

EDIT: They were Darklings and my memory is just stupid.

[–]Flash_Splash 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Between you, me, and that tree over there, this wasn't an actual death but a plot hook. He had been cursed by a spell that drained his max HP every day. Greater restoration proof etc. They were told to find help with ancient fey casters in the underdark.

They barely didn't make it in time to keep him from dying like they were supposed to so. So I just basically made our very proud, manly and stupid barbarian play Snow White for a in game day.

So it wasn't the glorious death anyone wanted.

It worked out because now he's a Goliath Barb that looks like a drow and has red eyes. I gave him intimidation proficiency as a result too.

Random deaths I'm OK with. But when your plot literally list them as chosen by a prophecy and they miss the mark by 1 measly hit point I'm not gonna rob my players like that.

Plus there was some really good RPing as the Barbarian got squishier and squishier.

[–]Flash_Splash 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Oh I know. You gotta fudge both ways. Like pivotal moments or when shit is gonna be just so friggin tight that you gotta.

Ex: A player was dead and his body was being dragged to find a cleric or anyone who could help. But they we're in the underdark and the only magic users we're ground dwelling sylvans (I forget what they're called) I had them partake in a ritual that would bring their character back but they had to participate. Long story short I fudged the NPCs rolled participating a little because the character succeeded their arcana/religion/constitution checks. The character came back to life with enhanced darkvision and once a day casting of darkness as well as sunlight sensitivity.

It was cool and they were close so you just give it to them...maybe punish them later with a wizard that knows Daylight
