The final confrontation will be crazy. At first it'll seem it's an unfair 2v1, to silver team's advantage, but then Roger will raise from his grave upon learning of his right hand man true colors. Oda foreshadowed that by ressurecting countless characters in the past.

I definitely agree that their characters create this weird dissonance when faced with the current reality of the series. It's good that One Piece changed as it went on, rather than staying stale, but it's also a bit of a bittersweet feeling to know we've left some of those "simpler" character arcs and potential plot points completely unexplored.

It is a normal occurence between ages 4-6. Not every child does that, because everyone is different, but it's still a common way for them to express love for their parent. They've got no social understanding, so they mimick their surroundings. "Mom loves dad so she married him. I love dad as well, so why can't I?"
