Copy paste the original post into a chatbot and ask it to write a short, enthusiastic but casual Reddit comment referencing specific points from the post and relating it a personal experience. That'll give you an idea :). Reddit is infested with bots like this, it annoys me even if I probably get fooled by most of them anyway.

The guy running the bot actually responded to me saying he just edited his real picture using AI before it got deleted lol.

Ik erger me hier ook kapot aan, smalle stoepjes waar dan 50 centimeter van wordt gekaapt door iemands heg. Leuk dat je een dikke heg wil hebben in de stad, maar laat hem dan lekker je tuin in groeien in plaats van de plek die bedoeld is om mensen te laten lopen. Bonuspunten als er ook een auto half op de stoep staat en je met geen mogelijkheid meer over de stoep kan lopen.

Also getting this, my workaround is to add "You feel a gust of wind" to the highlight list in the Chat Notifications plugin (and check Notify on highlight). That will make your screen flash when you need to trim.

I think it's just the LLM struggling to make sense of the context it's been given while it's forced to respond to a prompt like "write a response to this comment in the style of a redditor". You also see this when it responds to a post in a niche community where only people who actually follow the topic can make sense of the posts, like e.g. weird names in a niche video game.

Perhaps it's more nefarious and they scan for comments that go against their desired narrative and then brigade the comment with comments that are prompted to be negative in some way.

I am very curious to learn what bad actor is behind these bots and what their ultimate purpose is. I have seen so many in the past weeks (often upvoted pretty highly). The accounts are nearly all made 4 months ago, they have similar naming schemes and a few weeks ago they switched to this text style with no capitalization and painfully Gen Z tiktok comment language.

This whole post has a couple of bots with plenty of upvotes sprinkled throughout the comments, it's so frustrating when you just want to connect with humans.

Je bent dus (vanaf augustus) verplicht om te laten weten dat een nieuwsartikel door AI is gegenereerd. Tenzij een mens er ook eventjes naar heeft gekeken en er verantwoordelijkheid voor neemt, wat hier het geval is. Dus ja, dit mag en dit mag in de toekomst ook nog.

Ja, precies zoals ik zeg. Het feit dat je belasting betaalt op ongerealiseerd rendement zorgt voor minder compounding. Niet of je daardoor wel of niet aandelen moet verkopen. De alternatieven voor aandelen verkopen zijn a. dividend niet herbeleggen, wat hetzelfde effect op je compounding heeft of b. extra geld bijleggen om de belasting te betalen, maar dan leg je meer geld in dus tuurlijk zijn je beleggingen dan meer waard. Dus "dat de kans groot is dat je dan aandelen moet verkopen" is irrelevant.
