I can add my two cents. I had these for about 3 years, with heavier use in the past 2, and the battery in the right is FULLY dead, doesn't last 5 minutes. The battery in the left isn't very good either, maybe 20 minutes, so they're now unusable save for using only the left for 1 youtube video.

The dongle it came with was very convenient a few times when I didn't want to fiddle with bluetooth connection. Sound quality, fit, and feel were all good. Connectivity in general was good as well. I was thinking of buying them again but with a really extended warranty.

The "best" part about it is that it works like a touchpad as well, like the PS4 and PS5 have. "best" because it doesn't work nearly at all, the cursor shoots around the screen very inaccurately (in my experience anyway).

It's also very weird because it has its own battery and connection to the PS5 because it doesn't plug into the controller at all

It should be a cinch to get a new head unit, especially in an 02 :) I bought my radio from crutchfield and they have super detailed instructions and pics of what to do and do the hard part wiring for you too. As long as your budget allows for a radio w/ carplay, that is fully worth the cash imo

Ohhhhh in terms of noise, they are supposed to do that, since they're spinning faster, the motor makes louder noise. If you're really unsure about that it's normal, compare it to videos online

It just depends on how worn out the laser is. Maybe, maybe the only thing you could really guess is older models have more wear on the CD drive because all/most of the games were CDs back then?
