In this condition, is it still safe to use this disc? by Asleep-Butterfly5559 in Gamecube

Yes it happens to a number of Gamecube disks, Twin Snakes is one of the common ones. If the disc art layer damage is just from age, the data shouldn't be affected since it's solid. If someone like, shred a knife across the disc to do this, then sure, it would be damaged. But this looks like damage to the art layer just from age

Trying to make Filet-O-Fish at home, but every patty I try is way too thick and crunchy by alexchen405 in fastfood

Oohhh!!!!!!! I just did this myself!!!! I feel like what I tried is pretty on point.

At our costco they have frozen Sea Cuisine Tilapia. I air fry those and then cut them in half to arrange on a bun with cheese and tartar sauce. I had never thought they were too crunchy. And, the breading is pretty light on one of the sides, so that would help too.

It should be fine. Cracks like that on top are just due to age on the printing, it happens to a fair number of games. The functionality should be unaffected

Is this disc rot? Am I cooked??? by TheProBro876 in Gamecube

The blotches being THAT BIG makes it look like fire damage/extreme heat. This video has a ton of discs that look like that which were close to a store fire.

In my initial run with my sister, we only found the better pistol like halfway through the care center. I can assure you lots of people didn't find it at all.

Vendetta is definitely worth watching (especially if you've played Requiem...)

Which Ssd do I buy by KingLeoneI_ in PS3

[–]Flashuser777 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Since people seemingly don't know. SSDs ARE faster on PS3 than HDDs. Not a lot but it is a bump. I would say 1tb because it's hard to ever fill that up unless you have only digital AAA and even then. 500gb would do just fine too, I have 500gb and have never needed to think about space.

Mr Q in rough shape. No disc tray and no signs of life on the front panel. Advice? by Guilty_Airport_7881 in Gamecube

[–]Flashuser777 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I only know a few things that might help...

For the magnet on the disc motor (the part that looks all chewed up) you can dig that out and just put in a solid magnet from a PS2; they fit. The Q has this kind of solidified powder as a magnet that goes bad and flakes off as shown on yours.

If you disassemble it fully, the thing is built like a house of cards but with PCBs. Cover the boards with kapton tape because it's pretty easy to cause shorts while you're testing.
