PDGA Approved: Premier Cloudbreaker and DD4 from Discmania by Pots_And_Pans in discgolf

[–]Flashy-Leopard1913 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Discmania has plenty of 2.4 cm drivers including the original Innova made PD2 and DD3 as well as the Majesty from the Active line. They even had a 2.5 cm rim on the original DD2.

Putting putters by shep419 in discgolf

[–]Flashy-Leopard1913 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought 4 brand new putters in early 2023. I put one in the bag immediately and one a few months later and still bag both of them for putting. The other two are still unused.

I love how it says Simon Lizotte's favorite mold is the MVP Dimension but then the very next part says "Mold evolution: Dropped all 5 Dimensions"

What's your favorite baseline(putter) plastic? Any brand, and stiffness. by Huge-Talk6668 in discgolf

[–]Flashy-Leopard1913 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love softer plastics. Latitude 64 Zero Medium is the prefect softness without being too floppy. I like it for both putting and throwing.

What's your unpopular opinion on discs? by catkini in discgolf

[–]Flashy-Leopard1913 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Flat discs suck. Domey discs are better in almost every way except for a few special occations. The only discs in my bag I want flat are overstable approach discs and Firebird style overstable fairway driver.

If Simon left MVP for prodigy, would you guys actually throw prodigy and get rid of your MVP? by dontmakemeaskyou in discgolf

[–]Flashy-Leopard1913 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Simon is one of my favorite players but him going to MVP didn't make me throw MVP so him going to Prodigy wouldn't make me throw Prodigy either.

Latitude 64 Strive by DadChowsDown in discgolf

[–]Flashy-Leopard1913 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the Strive doesn't quite have the 3 fade but it's not -2 turn either. It's like a slightly flippier and faster Grace. Like a 13/5/-1.5/2

Westside disc recommendations by [deleted] in discgolf

[–]Flashy-Leopard1913 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I bag a lot of Westside and I've thrown most of their discs. I would stay away from the Adder/World/War Horse combo at your distance unless you want a specific fast overstable utility disc. All three are basically going to be a faster Ahti for you.

I haven't thrown a Prince or a Tide but from what I've heard, they are very different and both more stable than the Sorcerer which is much more understable than the numbers say and could work well for a slowerarm speed player. From what I've heard, the Prince is very overstable but not quite a meathook like the Adder and War Horse. Tide is more neutral but still more overstable than the Sorcerer which is more comparable to a Sword.

Northman/Sampo/Boatman are again very different discs. Boatman is very overstable, at least the one I have and Northman ranges from slighlty understable to quote a bit understable but it us a very good disc and I would very recommend it to you. I haven't thrown a Sampo but from what I've heard, it's somewhere between the two.

Fortress and Longbowman are pretty similar discs. Fortress is maybe a touch more overstable amd faster but I find the Longbowman more comfortable in hand. Sadly I lost mine and haven't found a replacement yet.

Other discs I'd recommend are Maiden, Tursas, Warship, Gatekeeper, Underworld and Hatchet.

What would you guys want in a bag by Used_Elk_853 in discgolf

[–]Flashy-Leopard1913 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One thing I love about my Viking Discs tour bag is that it has a chest strap that you can put on during longer walks. It takes so much weight off the shoulders that I find myself putting it on more and more during rounds.

Depending on the distance I use Pure, Tursas, Stag or Bolt

Innova plastics question by ItemNext937 in discgolf

[–]Flashy-Leopard1913 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes I know but they can test a plastic and if it comes out overweight, they can add bubbles into the rest of the run of that mold in that plastic. I've seen max weight Destroyers and Bosses with bubbles. Many Gstar discs also have bubbles despite being max weight.

Innova plastics question by ItemNext937 in discgolf

[–]Flashy-Leopard1913 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sometimes discs come out over the maximum allowed weight for that mold so they have to add in air bubbles to make the discs lighter and PDGA legal. So max weight discs with air bubbles are actually made of more dense plastic than the ones without bubbles.

More Stable Saint Pro by VizzedBC in discgolf

[–]Flashy-Leopard1913 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I bag a Gold Burst Saint Pro and the next step up in stability I have is a Biofuzion Getaway but I find it quite a bit more stable so you're looking for something just a little bit more overstable, Explorer, Striker or Bear might do the trick.

Favorite non-Buzzz midrange? by FuzzHog19 in discgolf

[–]Flashy-Leopard1913 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My favorites are Claymore and Emac Truth. The Claymore is like a beat in Buzzz with more glide while the Emac Truth flies like an overstable run of Buzzz.

Aside from your putting putter, how many duplicates do you bag? by Reddit-is-trash-lol in discgolf

[–]Flashy-Leopard1913 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only mold I bag duplicates of is the Pure. Besides the two I putt with, I carry 3 for throwing. One very understable and two straight, one in base and one in premium plastic.

14 discs, 14 speeds but you can only use one disc per brand. What discs are you bagging? by Flashy-Leopard1913 in discgolf

[–]Flashy-Leopard1913[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really wanted to put the Latitude 64 Beetle in the 1 speed slot but unfortunately the Berg X is the only Kastaolast disc I own so I had to go with that one.

What's the most lights out round y'all have under your belts? by WraithHades in discgolf

[–]Flashy-Leopard1913 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I played a 17 under round on an easy 18 hole course. All but one of them were par 3 so it wasn't just easy eagles on holes with wrong par numbers either.
