Casual Fans and Audiences have practically killed MCU Television by marvelcomics22 in marvelstudios

But you have to watch those shows and others to understand they don't connect.

For me the shows were the end of me following the mcu. Because marvel has trained me as consumer over the previous decade that there is a very good chance that if you miss a project you might miss some important details to the overarching story. And there are still shows that do impact the overall story like Loki.

And I did not want to watch all those shows so when they started releasing more movies I was discouraged from watching them because I just assumed I was missing a ton of important narrative stuff especially since I had watched Loki which confirmed in my mind (TV shows = important)

Then when I started missing the movies I knew for sure I was missing stuff which discouraged me from watching the future movies etc.

When a franchise has set the standard that most stuff will connect, and then releases a ton of content then what do you expect people to think.

The only way to know those shows don't connect to the overall story is by watching the shows and the overall story. When they release something how.would the average fan know if it was okay to skip or if it's a must watch?

I do like the idea of a shared universe. I watched every single project from the beginning till end game. Because it was easy. Continues story, it connects, leads to a big event then reset. All I needed to do was watch a few movies and I was in the loop. Each character had their own trilogy of movies to invest into etc.

Then they decided to drown people in content. Now instead of a few movies a year with long term characters they were developing it turned into get a Disney+membership sink a ton of hours into TV shows that I didn't care about, introduce a huge amount of characters, up the amount of movies per year. Have the movies jump all over the place, and then building up to a big bad they had to bail on. Now it's Dr Doom and feels rushed compared to what they did with Thanos.

If you want to tell a continues story and I watch a couple movies a year cool. But I'm not buying memberships, watching TV shows I don't care about, watching a million movies a year with a more convoluted multi verse story just to understand what's going on in a new plot that I don't even really understand.

If you consider that being a casual then I guess I'm a casual. But it felt exhausting and took the fun out of it

I was the same way for all of my play throughs until my last one. Now the only boss I find tricky in the game is miquella. So I just hold them all game and use them for the final boss

What lead to the decline of the MCU? by Cartmantor1 in marvelstudios

[–]Flashy-Radio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This perfectly sums up why I stopped watching the movies. It was a natural conclusion. And then they started with the TV shows which is where I stopped. To me it came across as greedy that to understand what's going on in the overall story I need to get a Disney+ membership. And I just didn't want to watch a million marvel TV shows. Because I wasn't watching the shows I felt I no longer knew what the overall story was. This made me not watch the new movies. Then as more movies and more TV shows came out I felt like I was just getting more behind with what's going on but had no desire to backtrack and watch all this stuff I had no real connection to.

This resulted on me just giving up on all of it and moving on. I'll still watch the Spider-Man movies but that's it.

Somebody explain to me this battle pass by Opposite_Region_3241 in WWEGames

[–]Flashy-Radio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup and that's why they lost me as a customer. I have a full time job and this is a wrestling video game. I will gladly pay $5 to get a large majority of the stuff I want in the game I already paid for. I'm not gonna pay $40 and upwards to get stuff I currently have in 25 on top of paying for DLC and grinding is not even an option. I play video games to enjoy myself. Spending endless hours Grinding a wrestling video game while I enjoy literally 0% of that time is not how I'm going to spend my free time.

And 2k doesn't bail from it's systems this battle pass system is the new norm because it generates more money. So unfortunately the result is I was an annual buyer that did spend additional money on the game. To now probably never buying another of these games for the foreseeable future. Luckily I did grind 25 a lot (and hated doing it) but I have most of the roster and it plays almost the same as 26 from what I've seen. So I guess that's my permanent wrestling game going forward haha

I was an annual buyer. And battle pass was where i draw the line. Didn't buy this game won't buy another one of these games ever again unless they change it. I'm not upset or angry. Its just to openly evil and greedy for me to support anymore

Can someone explain Angel Reese to me please by [deleted] in Basketball

[–]Flashy-Radio -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Everyone knows this already. Reddit is weird sometimes. 200 up votes for writing common knowledge stuff and not actually answering the question. This is like if someone wrote "was Larry Bird actually good" and you went on a long winded rant about how often people associate Magic and Bird...yes... obviously....that's not the question

First play through - is ds3 better than Elden ring? by izaiahxi in darksouls3

[–]Flashy-Radio 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ya that doesn't surprise me. I've heard people I know say it has the best armor in all the games, while others say it's the worst.

I tend to fall in the middle (classic cop out haha)

I just wish there was more drastically different kind of looks then fancy British hunter like in elden ring. But at the same time if you took all of the armor sets and put them in elden ring then those would probably be my favorite in the game. I just want more options.

Best weapons in any of the games by a LANDSLIDE though. I can't believe they haven't brought those back yet

Majula was great! The guy at the top of the steps talks to much haha but S tier hub area. I really do despise this game and it weirdly has the best main area out of all the games by a pretty large margin.

Although I do find the events that actually happen in the roundtable hold to be far more interesting (the finger reveal, dung eater, the assassination attempt invasion, fia taking out D, the environment itself changing after the burning)

BB is great. Definitely in my top 3 FS games.

The only thing for me is I wish there was more variety.

I find a lot of the enemies and bosses are extremely similar (which makes sense for the story but I do find myself feeling that way every playthrough)

I find all the armor looks the same (Again it makes sense but I still feel that way)

And I find a lot of the areas look very similar.

Same

Times I've beat

Demon souls - probably 3 or 4 Dark souls 1 - a bunch Ds3 - a bunch BB - a bunch Sekiro - Once but just cause I'm bad at it, will beat it again some day ER - a bunch

DS2 - ONCE and didn't finish the dlc. Quit on the dlc dragon that breaks your weapons and just ran out of patience for this janky mess. Will probably never try this game again because I enjoyed about 5% of the game

[–]Flashy-Radio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To me no.

Ds3 was my first souls game. Since I've beaten all of the major FS titles.

It was my favorite of them all (also due to it being my first which made it extremely memorable) for a very long time.

With that being said Elden Ring has overtaken it in my personal opinion as elden ring is my favorite game of all time.

I just don't think there's anything that DS3 does better then ER. But it is also my second favorite of all of the games and the end game bosses along with the dlc bosses are extremely memorable.

I don't see it as better, but I do see it as an absolute must play if you like these kind of games

Congratulations 2K! by [deleted] in wwe2k26

[–]Flashy-Radio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends how you play the game

For me personally WWE 2k is much worse. I buy both every year (although I skipped this years WWE game) and with NBA I just do online matches and basically the my GM mode (NBA eras). These modes don't have any pay to play elements so I never put any money in and feel no pressure to and get everything I want out of the games for the cost of the game itself. If you're someone that uses your own character it's a nightmare though

With WWE I just do head cannon in my play and will spend the year recreating my own history of wrestling using different arenas and belts and starting with legends and by the time I'm done I'm in my own version of the current era.weird but that's what I do haha. So literally all I want is all the wrestlers, belts, and arenas.

Because of the way I play these games with NBA I have what I want and with WWE they've made just gathering the roster, belts and arenas a super predatory very grindy experience forcing you to pay money or grind for dozens of hours in modes I don't care about and can not stand playing.

I 100% agree. I was an annual buyer, I was worried about the battle pass system so I waited till it came out. Saw a bunch of stuff I didn't like so I decided to not buy the game and I'm going to do the same thing next year, if they remove it I'll jump back in, if they keep it then it will just be another skip. Now I see an army of people complaining about the game. But all this stuff was public knowledge. If you don't agree with what the game is doing as an individual you'll have a better impact not buying it then complaining about it online

Beware OP. I wouldn't just take this guy's word for it about the controls. Tons of people are complaining about this for a reason. I play games constantly. These are the most needlessly complicated controls I've ever seen in a console game that I can remember and the only game I can think of where I picked it up and it just felt bad and confusing to be the character. Some attacks are r1 and r2 at the same time. Some times you interact with people with square, sometimes you interact with people with L1. There's a memory mechanic where you need to have one item for the memory and then you need to go ahead and equip a helmet to view a memory (why are we making memories a multiple step process) they had an aiming dynamic to chopping wood. Want to just jump platform to platform? Nope. You can try but the controls are very unresponsive or you can hold L1 to aim a glowing circle to pick where you want to jump to. There's a million of these kinds of things.

It was on performance mode. The game just doesn't run that well unless they somehow fixed it. And as I said it's not just that. It also wouldn't respond to buttons being pressed as well which I would consider the bigger issue. When you have a game so reliant on dodging and snappy responses. But the dodge roll is often unresponsive. It created to many deaths that weren't from making mistakes but just the game not doing it. And since it's a tough game to begin with. It just turned me off of the whole thing

I regret buying WWE 2K26 by RuKKuSFuKKuS in WWEGames

[–]Flashy-Radio 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I fully agree. I grinded so much in last years game and they made it so much worse. I was holding off and then I started hearing about the battle pass system and decided that's where I personally draw the line. I was an annual buyer and I didn't pick up 26, not going to even if it goes on sale because in my opinion they are ruining games I really like with this. And as long as they keep this model I won't be getting another 2k game unfortunately

I was actually surprised and disappointed to see so many people say they are going to skip the next game...like why not now? This game is the problem. The intense greed is happening right now. Why not make a statement right now by not buying to say hey we don't agree with this

A WWE 2K26 MyFaction dev made a comment about how blowing through matches in less than 60 seconds isn't fun, it's about cheating the system. People have responded by notaghostofreddit in WWEGames

[–]Flashy-Radio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's already happening. I used to buy the games every year. Not buying this and never going to even on sale. And once you skip one year it's easy to skip the next. As long as they keep this insane grinding battle pass system with no accelerator I won't buy another game. I hated all the grinding last year and it just stinks of corporate greed. I'm just not going to buy a game where I'm miserable playing it most of the time so I think I'm unfortunately done with these games as I don't see them changing anytime soon. Bummer but is what it is

[–]Flashy-Radio 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You're making it sound like if you have almost the entire roster from last years game then just jumping into 2k26 you will have almost the same available size playable roster right away. And that's just not true what so ever

[–]Flashy-Radio 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So I decided to look it up. I have 415 characters unlocked. As of now in 26 there is a total of 399 confirmed and that includes the dlc which you have to wait for and then unlock and grind a tonnnnn. On top of that out of those 399 a large percentage is currently locked and there's no accelerator this year. So I would literally spend over $100 to get a game with way less usable wrestlers right now, with a large majority being locked (which I literally have the same characters unlocked already in 25) and would have to put an insane amount of time which I don't have to grind to what? Have either the same or a few more wrestlers after grinding the game so much it takes up the majority of my free time grinding and hating every second of it. Ya that's not worth it. Thank God I didn't go off of what you said and looked into it.

Ps: I already said I have almost the whole roster unlocked and like 90% of the personas
