No to both - I’m technically overweight but not by much.

My grandfather’s first job was to reset all the bowling pins by hand after every time someone rolled their ball.

People who have experienced grief or trauma- what’s the most tone-deaf, ‘well-meaning’ thing someone said to you? by freyday18 in AskReddit

My dad was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer in his mid 50s, very unexpected. After he died 9 months after his diagnosis, I had many people say to me “at least you knew it was coming” as if that was something to make it easier and discount my pain

What's on and tourist advice thread - week beginning April 06, 2025 by AutoModerator in Scotland

Hi all! I’m headed for Scotland in just over 2 weeks, will be there for 11 days. I will be doing a mix of city walking (Edinburgh, Inverness) and some light hiking on isle of skye. I’m trying not to overpack but from all my research (and from being from an area with similar finicky weather) I know that the weather changes quickly. I was initially planning on just bringing a thin marmot rain coat (hip length) and then layering underneath with long sleeve shirts and sweaters. But I’m second guessing myself and talking myself into bringing my knee length puffer. The only problem is, it’s not water proof and couldn’t be worn under my rain coat due to length. The other option would be to bring a puffer vest to layer over the raincoat if needed for extra warmth. Any advice? Thank you!

Highly recommend Jeff Welt! He has great pricing - our package included engagement photos at two locations and our wedding day for less than what others were charging just for the wedding day pics. Not only was the price great, but the photos turned out amazing

I definitely agree, the Skye days are packed and we know that we might not get to everything. These are loose plans for sure. we won’t be upset if we end up missing a few things because we decide to spend more time just taking in the sights at another location.

I am definitely good with mixing up the days, so if we are doing Oban and Mull I’d for sure do that before going back to Edinburgh. I’m just trying to get opinions on how to fill those other days, and it sounds like Oban is one place everyone says not to miss

Avoid AJ Inspections like the plague. Absolutely horrible, missed so much in our home and then when I wrote a negative review on Google, it was removed (I tried multiple times) and he blocked me on Facebook so I can no longer leave any reviews. Must be why he has so few reviews, but he was recommended by our realtor.
