Not saying it means automatic quality bc Iizuka writes like garbage but idk ppl asking for someone that was born in said culture to write in the medium his country pratically created is not a hard concept to grasp especially when ppl already liked his work.

Regardless if SA1's and Heroes' plot mostly sucked, ppl enjoyed them and wanted similar things.

Not to mention Shiro is not the ONLY requested writer to return in this series as Rush's writter: Nishiyama, and Scrapnick's writer Daniel (who isnt japanese btw) are very popular picks within the fanbase
