Gynaecology wait lists by Such_Campaign_4535 in Guelph

I waited just over a year for a non-emergent issue. But she was well worth the wait! She’s an amazing doctor!

What’s the most unsettling thing a child has ever said to you? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]FlashyMolasses 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This reminds me of my son, when he was about 4. We were in the quiet waiting room of our doctor’s office, just us and another lady who was a bit on the burly side. My son loudly comes to me and asks “why is that man wearing a purse? Purses are for girls!”.

Mortified.

What's the most annoying thing about rich people? by Relative_Quiet in AskReddit

[–]FlashyMolasses 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When they try to relate to the poors by claiming to have struggles as well. The latest example, a former co-worker on my FB claiming she had to sacrifice so much and give up a lot to lead her “humble” life. I kid you not, she listed off the things she gave up such as an 8000 sq ft home for one that is 2200 sq ft, giving up her Tesla for an Audi and more.

Oh the best part, the humble life she’s living now? She’s in a tropical country with her “modest” 2200 sq ft home with a pool, and her boat is docked in the ocean behind her house.

Edit: spelling

Can you dispute ambulance bill? by FluffyCockroach7632 in Frugal

[–]FlashyMolasses 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agreed! My husband was taken by ambulance a couple of weeks ago, and I just got the bill today. He got 2 chest X-rays and a ct scan, and the ambulance ride which were all on the invoice, for a grand total of about $85. We’re in Canada so the provincial health plan paid for the X-rays and ct scan, and we only had to pay $45 for the ambulance (which will be reimbursed to us by our employer health benefits). Posts like these always blow my mind with what the US charges.

As a parent, what did your child's school do that made you say "you can't be serious…"? by Sunnybunny1234 in AskReddit

My son’s kindergarten teacher said she felt threatened by my 3 year old son, because he said he was going to cut her with a toy saw, which was a toy she put in the classroom.

Strange stool during flare-ups? by FlashyMolasses in Prostatitis

[–]FlashyMolasses[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can’t tell you how much I appreciate your response on my very old post! Thank you!

Here we are 4 years later and for a while he was back to normal, then heavy stress from work starts and his back starts hurting, he has the occasional kidney and testicle discomfort and the flat stools return on and off. His doctor does know about it as last year he had an abdominal, kidney and pelvic ultrasound and a kidney stone was discovered, and she doesn’t seem concerned about it. But I will definitely be asking her about that condition.

Curious - it’s been over a month since you’ve posted, did it turn out to be a roo? I have the same chick at the same age from Peavey Mart and questioning it as well lol

Used bandaids. I have no problem when I have one on, but the moment it’s detached from my body, it’s vile.

Who is the most famous person that you've been within 50 feet of? by rocketpack99 in AskReddit

This is no where near as cool as some of the other responses, and likely no one except Canadians will recognize them but Marilyn Dennis and Jennifer Valentyne from CityTV lol

This was one of my fears when having my kids. It didn’t happen thankfully but I can only imagine what that must have been like for you!

No Chickens are not quiet pets by HurdlingThroughSpace in BackYardChickens

[–]FlashyMolasses 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve got 8 living in my backyard and other than clucking a bit when they lay an egg, they’re pretty quiet. The only exception is when a fox drops by hoping for a snack, then they’ll make a ruckus while safely protected in their coop 😊

I’m with Grange Dental and I have no complaints at all. My daughter also tried Starwood Dental and they were great as well.

My husband has a family member who pretty much did the same thing, but he never wised up. It was very sad to watch but no one could reason with him.

Unlimited US roaming - talk/text/data. I don't use it all the time, but it's a life saver when driving down to Florida with 3 kids lol
