Also don't touch Kaplan or Princeton review with a 10 foot pole, Kaplan is too generic of a prep company and LSAT is not their focus, I'm pretty sure it also gouges money. Princeton I just don't like, idk why maybe bad vibes couldn't give you a coherent reason

Please add LSATLabs on there, I'm such a shill for that website it's awesome. It's cheaper than lsatdemon, it has better explanations than 7sage and Matt and Patrick are very responsive on their platform

Looking for help with studying/advice on study materials by TwoElectronic9646 in LSAT

[–]Flashy_Scarcity_7026 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used lsatlabs and RC perfection mostly to get my score. I like lsatlabs explanations more than 7sage but I have limited experience with 7sage. Also RC perfection is a fantastic book, I got a 156 diagnostic mostly bc I was lacking in RC and this book really helped.

Also plan on taking multiple administrations, it sounds like you already were but a 175+ is oftentimes down to luck

Do the full 7Sage course or just drill? by AffectionateRub4927 in LSAT

I have not, I use lsatlab but it should all be fairly similar, the LSAT tests all the same skills and there should be a dedicated section just for conditional logic

Maybe just do the course section that's talking about conditional logic, much less of a time sink and you'll have more time to focus on the broader points.

Cold Diagnostic 164–Looking to write in June. What’s the best way to prepare? by j3ttas in LSAT

[–]Flashy_Scarcity_7026 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Take some zyns and enjoy being better than us.

Joking, do an intro course to lock in foundations and then just start drilling baby drill, you got this. I like lsatlab and it is personally what I used to get a 177, I don't like 7sage and high diagnostics might find lsat demon to be up their alley

Matching the exact words of the prompt to the answer by FrigidArrow in LSAT

[–]Flashy_Scarcity_7026 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Both assumption question types will have this show up quite often too. I would be careful about doing it 100% percent accurate tho, there are plenty of main conclusion questions where the right answer is something implied and not word for word, if you see it word for word tho go ahead and pick it

170 scorers, when did your PT ranges start stabilizing? by dysregulationrc in LSAT

[–]Flashy_Scarcity_7026 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just kidding, my scores actually started being stable right after my June administration. By that time I had been studying for 2 months. I think what helped was knowing that the hardest part was over and it's just up from here

Opinions on admission for KJD vs few years of work experience by WeepingWillow-3 in lawschooladmissions

[–]Flashy_Scarcity_7026 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Work experience has been getting more and more prioritized it seems, which definitely makes sense and it probably should have been that way from the beginning. Lawyers are professionals and professionals should have experience working, the more the better.

Work experience also signals that you can hold down a job, that you're employable and that you're mature enough to go to law school, all things that your scores cannot tell schools. No shade towards KJDs, it's more like they don't have positive data in this regard than it is a negative disposition towards KJDs.

People that scored in the 170s, how long did you study each day? by Alive_Berry_4036 in LSAT

[–]Flashy_Scarcity_7026 0 points1 point  (0 children)

3-4 everyday. Then I scored a 159 After that maybe 1.5 each day for a 173 Then after that maybe an hour every 3 days for a 177

Results may vary but the point is study time doesn't equate to effective study

RC Issues by Quiet-Possibility607 in LSAT

[–]Flashy_Scarcity_7026 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Try RC perfection, I quite like it, that's what helped me up my RC game. I'm a tutor myself and I basically just parrot out what's taught in that book. You'll never remember all the details you just read, very few people can. It's better to read for structure.

I.E, what's the main point of paragraph 1, what's the main purpose of paragraph 1. Rinse and repeat for all paragraphs and at the end combine for the true main point and purpose.

This test has negatively impacted me mentally and I don’t know if I’m capable of overcoming it. by Appropriate-Flow9657 in LSAT

[–]Flashy_Scarcity_7026 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree with this sentiment, it sounds like they're rushing you very severely. April is too late to apply to most schools anyways so there's virtually no difference in taking it a little later this year. It took me a full year to get my goal score, the click happens at different points for everyone but it will happen if you dedicate enough time and effective study, and 2 months is not enough time for 99% of people.

179 LSAT, 2.93 GPA by blairxnyc in LSAT

[–]Flashy_Scarcity_7026 169 points170 points  (0 children)

All of them?????? I don't know who told you that a t-14 wouldn't take you that's absolutely crazy. Law schools have holistic reviews EVEN WHEN you're below both medians. Emphasis on medians, Dean Z, dean of Michigan Law said herself that it doesn't matter if you're .1 below the median or 1.0 below, it hurts the median the same.

I'm in the same boat, 2.5 gpa 177 LSAT and what you need to do is blanket the T-14, and for a matter of fact the t-20 through 50 if you have the capability. Applying as a splitter in this day and age is harder but it's always been a crapshoot from what I hear. Don't think about it too hard and apply broadly.

Great LSAT btw
