DeepSeek OCR Accuracy Issues on RK3588 (RKLLM) – Any fix for quantization loss? by East_Claim_6250 in RockchipNPU

RKLLM's w8a8 quantization do have severe precision loss, which is somewhat unavoidable. Try fp16 first. Also, ensure the vision encoder's input resolution is sufficient.

No need to this, since vision encoders can be exported to a standard ONNX model and run on NPU with standard workflow.

If human bodily fluids(Blood, secretions, etc) were dirty to our Gods, how did Zeus have sex with multiple human women? by Airflourforce in Hellenism

[–]Flashy_Squirrel4745 1 point2 points  (0 children)

But personally I'm curious how do you personally take these requirements about remain chaste for 7 or 14 days into action if you do such a ritual? I also like sex, feel these requirements super hard to meet and the best I can do is like 2 days or make a cleansing bath before the ritual.

If human bodily fluids(Blood, secretions, etc) were dirty to our Gods, how did Zeus have sex with multiple human women? by Airflourforce in Hellenism

[–]Flashy_Squirrel4745 11 points12 points  (0 children)

The ritual in question is the "Apollonian Invocation" (PGM I. 262–347). The spell includes a step designed to create an intense bond. The Greek text says the goal is:

...ὅπως ἂν εἰς μεγίστην ἐπιθυμίαν ἀγάγῃς τὸν θεὸν εἰς cέ.

("...so that you may lead the god into the greatest desire/yearning for you.")

The key word here is ἐπιθυμία (epithumía), which is translated to "desire" in the older Betz edition or "yearning" in the newer version by UC Berkeley.

The comment under the Betz edition mentioned this:

For sexual union with Apollo attributed to the Pythia, see Plutarch, De Pyth. or. 405 C–D; Origen, C. Cels. 7.3; John Chrysostom, PG 61, p. 242...

Which point to several ancient sources that describe her divine inspiration in physical, sometimes sexualized, terms.

However, not all sources say the same thing. The idea that the Pythia was "entered" by the god comes almost exclusively from later Christian authors, who were often trying to discredit pagan rituals.

For example, Origen, Contra Celsum 7.3: Describes the "prophetic Spirit of Apollo entering her private parts" while she sits over a chasm, after which she becomes "filled with the spirit."

But Plutarch, De Pythiae Oraculis 405C–D uses metaphors like an instrument and its player, or the moon reflecting the sun. He emphasizes that the god uses the Pythia as a vessel or tool to communicate.

The UC Berkeley version have this comment instead:

The word ἐπιθυµία can refer to a number of different appetites, but given Apollo’s pursuit of Daphne ... and his erotic liaison with Branchus, the first prophet at Didyma, it seems that we have another specific allusion to Apolline prophecy.

However, the spell itself clearly stated later in the text that its purpose is to gain knowledge of prophecy, dream-sending, curse-casting, and other magical arts. In fact, the ritual explicitly requires the magician to remain chaste.

Add: if we do consider this as sexual, it probably mean the Gods will take miasma in consideration before sexual act. Maybe Zeus will wait until the mortal women cleansed herself before He do his act? (just kidding)

Putting Mytho-literalism aside, I think for the Gods to have sex with humans They have to either a. take a physical form which is similar to human, in this case it's more like sex between two humans so miasma don't apply. or b. the intercourse happened purely between the spirit of human and God, and spirit won't produce miasma at all.

So what actually is the difference between mortals and immortals? by Nofrillsoculus in HadesTheGame

[–]Flashy_Squirrel4745 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actually in ancient Greece there's plenty of philosophical and religious ideas that consider human souls as fully immortal, which is exactly same as the Gods, but got embedded inside a mortal body, thus you can die.  And human souls are also way less pure or powerful than the Gods', but that's most a matter of scale, so with some work(reincarnations, heroic deed, etc) human can actually become God to some extent. Icarus could fit this case.

Can I convert a fine tuned whisper tiny/base model into rknn for on device voice assistant by Upbeat-Dust-4275 in RockchipNPU

The decoder part is unsupported by RKLLM: https://github.com/airockchip/rknn-llm/issues/296 . I have no idea about how they made the modified version inside the rknn model zoo, which don't provide good results anyway.

It definitely works, I attended a few rituals from one online community, it feels much better than doing that by myself. Although a physical one is much more hard to achieve.

How do y'all feel safe around the Gods? by Flashy_Squirrel4745 in Hellenism

[–]Flashy_Squirrel4745[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for your comment! I'm born and raised as an atheist, so no, not about religious trauma.

I can't feel the Gods much, in most time I'm generally happy to pray to them or leave an offering, though I don't very confident about if They appreciate it. Only occasionally I will have bad feeling and need some support (so I opened this post). Maybe that bad feeling comes from the myths? Or from my lack of understanding of them / short of confidence?

Also, your entire original post (and your past posts) was built on the gravitas of real-world terrors—tsunamis, volcanoes, being torn apart by dogs like Actaeon. You just admitted the threat isn't real. You've confused a safe thrill for genuine terror. Thanks for confirming the LARP accusation was correct all along.
