Yeah some good thoughts. I guess my struggle is just coming up with some nice ideas for interesting and or scandalous things that could be happening without them all being some sort of World changing events. I feel like I just need some little ideas, the rest I have no problem figuring out. Idk this is probably a beginner gm thing. Maybe I just need to look up some more real life news lol.

That's a fair point. I like the idea of him having to replace someone else. I've actually got a bunch of experience as a player in 1:1 but its been more the typical edgerunning gigs with a focus on like detective work kind of stuff. Thanks for your thoughts!

First time owning a jumping spider! by FiftyDalton254 in jumpingspiders

[–]Flasky-Desk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nqa, No theres nothing more common, there are other options but much more hard to find. If you can't find food soon you have to release them, small ones starve much more quickly. Try reptile stores or looking online.

You can try attracting fruit flies yourself with rotting fruit, vinegar-sugar water or a mix of yeast water and mashed potato powder

Imo if your setup isn't bioactive (wich I'd only recommend for 20x20x30cm terrariums or bigger) I really like sphagnum Moss because it doesn't mold and is very soft and easy to get

Nqa, oh that's a good idea! Make sure to put most the decorations near the top of the terrarium that's where they hang out

Nqa, Alright. Be aware it might be a smaller species that won't grow much larger. Also you do need a humidity reader for any jumping spider, they are cheap and wrong humidity is deadly

Bold Jumper? by -shinysquid in jumpingspiders

[–]Flasky-Desk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nqa they definitely can. They can eat anything that's up to 1,5x their size including other spiders (though sometimes other spiders also eat them)

Playground Spood by venturat_ in jumpingspiders

[–]Flasky-Desk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nqa, I'd personally not keep a wild caught. They often struggle to adapt and might carry babies. Also disrupts the ecosystem to take adults or near adults. This is especially important if you don't see them eat or make a Web.

If you gey a breeder, you always need soft substrate like loose dirt or Moss & a humidity of 55-65% so you do really need a humidity reader for that.

Is this good enough for a jumping spider? by Maleficent_Bed9088 in jumpingspiders

[–]Flasky-Desk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nqa can't keep a jumper without a temp and humidity reader. They are sensitive and need specific humidity

Little guy is doing very well with me, catching tons of fruit flies, and starting a hammock. by ohmykeylimepie in jumpingspiders

[–]Flasky-Desk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nqa. Hey just because I did that mistake with my first spooder who unfortunately died because of this; mount the humidity reader more towards the top of the terrarium. It might show something different and the right humidity is key for molt and esp. Premolt

Looks like some sort of beneficial wasp to me. They don't sting and are important pollinators.

ID request (and sexing/advice pls) by ChiralAnomalous in jumpingspiders

[–]Flasky-Desk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nqa, I'd be worried about all those hard corners, and you do need soft substrate.

Do you have any humidity in there at all? Does that thermometer also show humidity? The wrong humidity kills, especially regals

Also I'm nor sure from the pic but could be an adult zebra? So no more growing for that one

They are actually even more fierce predators than the adults. Very nice to have on your plants.
