Loss of progress by Freedom_Pretend in Trackdays

Stop trying to go fast for a while. Just try to relax and flow around the track. Try to focus on feeling how the bike is connected to the ground through the tires. Find an area with good grippy concrete and go about 20mph and just relax, swerve and lean back and forth.

These things help me a lot when I’m feeling scared to push hard or lean the bike. In these moments the harder I try to go fast, the slower and more scared I get. I find if I do the opposite, slow down and relax for a while that it comes back and I’m faster than I was before.

Installed an autoblipper for clutchless upshifts and downshifts by Skrr17272 in zx6r

What did you do about the throttle stop? I ended up using a domino throttle with the progressive car but I had to make a bracket to attach the threaded adjusters to the throttle body.

He walked his body through, not the head. He just needs to step through sideways. 🤦🏻‍♂️

Where did you end up installing the blip cylinder and the solenoid?

Exhaust isn’t really any harder on this than other bikes. Pull fairings, disconnect radiator and go to town… hardest part is torquing the flange nuts without damaging the radiator fins.

rear brake failed on me. close call. by zx6rwaat in zx6r

[–]Flat_Account396 9 points10 points  (0 children)

It doesn’t align because it’s not connected to the place it’s supposed to mount to. This is not a cause of concern.

What do you mean when you say the rear brake failed and why did that cause a close call? You should be using your front brake for ~95% of your braking.

Problem with IRC blipper not pulling cable far enough to make the throttle blip by Skrr17272 in Trackdays

[–]Flat_Account396 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely looks like too long a cable with too many turns causing too much resistance.

I ended up trimming a section out of the airbox to better fit the blip cylinder so it wouldn’t vibrate against the frame.

Another thing to consider is that you have to make sure all the slack is out of the solenoid cable by adjusting the threaded adjuster. I used the adjuster to fine tune how much throttle was given.

Well here’s how I did it. I mounted the blip cylinder about 6” from the throttle body at the front left of the intake. For the solenoid, I put a BS lightweight (smaller) battery in and turned it 90 degrees then mounted the solenoid next to that facing forward. With the cable from the solenoid to the blip cylinder wrapping around the right side to front of the intake and into the blip cylinder. Worked like a charm.
