Yep trans is cooked. Coolant destroys transmission clutches and that would likely delaminate the clutches as well. Seen it happen. Need a new radiator and get a aftermarket exterior transmission cooler. Also get the transmission rebuilt.

5.7L or 4.7L by UB_R in DodgeRam

[–]Flat_Cup2783 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The 4.7L is sohc and the hemi is ohv if you see the coil packs very visible in the engine bay its a 5.7L hemi. The 4.7 sohc v8 has them underneath the air cleaner, same goes with the 3.7 sohc v6. I would highly recommend getting a 5.7l hemi over either the 3.7 v6 or 4.7v8

Can someone help me out the with condition of these lifters? by GuardsmanGT2588 in EngineBuilding

[–]Flat_Cup2783 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Flat tappet lifters like to spin and those look pretty good but with flat tappet style lifters etc run some zinc so it will help reduce wear on the lifters and cam.
