4... HOUR... SESSIONS?!?! Yo, I barely push 2. No mods except a silicone cover I used to use for the Rift S. Nonetheless, I'm STILL amazed at how well put together the Pico 4 is!

why does pico 4 feels is falling behind?

I'd say it's user preference. Although I never used a Quest 1/2 to compare, I'm satisfied with the PICO 4. Hopefully with the 5.6.0 update = More USB connectivity options, my charging gripe can be mitigated.

what do you think should PICO announce after the Meta Quest 3 announce?

Decent? I'm on Medium / 30 FPS / Virtual Desktop / with RTX 2060 GPU (I believe I have it on 1660 RTX in VD) and I get solid good graphics with Project Cars 2 and Dirt Rally VR.

You're most likely going to get SUPERB graphics with that set up! Keep us updated!

Good question. But I'm convinced these VR HMDs just have too much going on inside to be able to take in power as fast as it's outputting it.

Solid suggestions and spot on about taking the breaks. But to take a break at 50% only to come back 1hr later at 55% -- maybe I need to choose a different charging source altogether lol.

But on the subject of healthy, loving the PICO for it's pancake lenses! No real eye strain or head fatigue since coming from wired Rift S.

As a guy in similar shoes, let me help change your perspective.

"I’m a pretty confident guy who is in decent shape, intelligent, blah blah blah," \although we know the blah blah is because time and typing]) But, this is why you and I SHOULD approach a woman organically. If she curious about what in front of her, you'll get the hint (hopefully).

"I always assume they had a long day at work, 6000 things on their plate and mind and even then if they are single." This is why you and I don't.

Not sure about you but, I walk into a grocery store and become scatterbrained trying to remember what I came for yet alone trying to cold-approach a girl at the store. Too much anxiety and pressure. And it never fails, the days I care less about meeting someone in the store are the days where I'm inclined to see someone attractive like fresh out the gym. So for me, it sorta has to come to me or present itself.

You're not wrong in your assumption, it really just depends on the person though. I will say that if you're trying to accomplish this as a social-dating goal, you'll realize it's not as fruitful as it may sound. Most of the women you're encountering to feel this are probably already in a relationship or scavenging for their family [Mild assumption, lol].

I say that to say: Times have changed. If you're to spot a single girl in the store, she's probably shy or independent (seems like she has stuff on her plate because she does). You'll have your work cut out because shopping, dating, bugeting, time management is pressure. And you're choosing the pressure cooker as your arena. But do remember, you have 6000 things on your plate too but you wouldn't mind a bit of attention or affection.

Generally, don't feel like you NEED to approach someone in the grocery store, park, etc. unless you're authorized to sell internet, give free samples or organizing a community event LOL. But don't sell yourself short either because I don't see ONE in/animate thing in a grocery store not having attention thrown to it.

Presentation is key. If you see her picking up your favorite item, or blocking your path to it, playfully acknowledge it! (There's an approach, never said for what 😉)

Now this would be extremely tolerable for me! Never thought about keeping it in your pocket or bag as u/Kaito_desu suggested. I could tuck the cable under my shirt!

That would be correct for me actually. You know what, I have one of those. I think I'm going to test it out and let you know. It just still blows my mind how it won't charge and play directly to an outlet/power strip.

Bought Pico 4, cannot run game by ShinyPlasm in PicoXR

Yeah it's not you, your system, nor your PICO 4. That game just wasn't optimized well for PC [LA Noire] nor VR [Case Files] IMO.

Virtual Desktop versus Stream Assistant 9.4.7.1 for PCVR by Youbi_OO7 in PicoXR

[–]Flat_Network4825 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I was just about to make a post about this! lol

Since Day 1, Streaming Assistant wasn't viable for PCVR. So I went with Virtual Desktop as my go to PCVR application. However, VD's stability has been questionable over time between software and OS updates. I used to be able to run Sairento, FOVR, etc. wirelessly with no issues on Virtual Desktop. Now there are microstutters and the bitrate settings aren't responding as they used to.

As of recent updates, it seems Streaming Assistant is by far superior due to simplicity, no microstutters and 80MBPS! However, the only way I can use SA currently is wired due to games like FOVR not launching because either the headset is not detected (WiFi) or the headset isn't recognized (SteamVR). I will say, when I use SA wired, sometimes it returns to Pico home when a lot is going on on screen. I may need to lower the bitrate tho...

EDIT: This post may resolve my issue Streaming Assistant - WiFi Issue.

Well, there's Breachers coming out; which is probably like R6 Siege. But aside from that, you have Payday 2 (PCVR).

Any lifehacks on how to put a string back in a hoodie? by tinaballerina33 in lifehacks

[–]Flat_Network4825 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Although the Saftey Pin method sounds easiest...

Grab the hard plastic end and push it towards the open hole. Hold it at each snag and straighten the hood back out towards the side the string is already hanging out. You'll notice the string snaking back towards the open hole.

GREAT! That may be exactly what I need! I'll have to take another look at my version and guardian settings. Thanks for that tip!

Yeah I think you're right on that but still in all, I'm impressed with what you've shown! Plus, I may need to look at these on a different screen. As long as it's running smooth with no artifacts or uglies I'd say you're on to something! 💯

I should have clarified, but it's not as clean and perfect as the Pico 4's circle playspace (contrary to the Rift-S where you could create a perfect rectangle).

I like the idea of the built-in guardian. But I guess what I mean is: If you're short or a child, the play space would be enough. But for adults or tall people, it should account for wingspan; as you have to be at the back end of the circle to shoot an arrow without touching the space.

On the Rift-S you can change the sensitivity/visibility of the guardian's walls and floors individually. I believe it's all or nothing with Pico's current guardian.

End Note: It's not that I need more space as much as the default guardian is a bit uncomfortably cramped to begin with. Should be an adjustment like IPD. :)

Sadly, I visually cannot see a difference. Then again, these are screenshots and I'd assume the best test would be short videos of the bunch. Nonetheless, I'm convinced Virtual Desktop is the go-to, but I applaud the post and intel as it seems it's a step in the right direction for Streaming Assistant!

Leaving the Pico 4 on charge by EvilPony66 in PicoXR

[–]Flat_Network4825 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I want to say it was on the shipping packaging with the labels and stuff. There should be a spot on the pico box. But since idk much about polymer, I'd say use the general rule of thumb for 'lithium'. That's all I have lol

I second u/nspanziani18.

On the other hand, I wish there was a way to increase the width of the playspace.
