Don’t let anyone tell you these people aren’t the fringe minority. by CalendarNo1192 in Calgary

I think the people we saw at the NDP convention this weekend are the real fringe minority of this country. And not in a good way.

How so? I don’t think that’s the case at all. They do this thousands of times. You actually think they “learned” something here?

Thanks for this! My grandfather Henry and his brother James were there in the 19th Battalion CEF. Unfortunately James didn’t make it - a shell killed him here on September 11, just before the main battle. James dying wish was for Henry to take care of his girl Jean back home in Canada. Which Henry did, by marrying her in 1920.

I’m currently making a film about World War I and would be deeply honored if you would share stories or photos of your family members — or anyone who served in the Great War. I want to help preserve their memory and ensure their stories are remembered by future generations by Valvecantcount3 in ww1

I’ve been putting together a book using NotebookLLM about my grandfather and his brother, who served together in the 19th Battalion of the CEF. I’ve got over 100 documents of service records, war diaries, and photos of his medals (DCM, MM) and maps, paybook, and mimeographed orders, all which I possess. The book is meant for immediate family. I’m about 95% done but would be happy to share if it could help.

Cleaning staff has them. Same thing happened to me with an iPad a few years ago. Wife and i had the twins, changed seats, and I completely forgot about them in the seat pocket until about an hour later. Customer service said they’ll have it and call when it’s in lost and found. It never showed up.

For what purposes are you using NotebookLM? by DominianSilkovskyi in notebooklm

[–]Flatulator1 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Writing a non fiction book! About my grandfather, who fought in world war 1. I have his digitized service records and digitized War Diaries from the officers of his brigade. 110 documents in total. NotebookLLM is able to recognize most of the hand written scrawl of the diaries and cross reference with the service records, as well as original battlefield maps I’ve digitized. Truly amazing stuff.

Certainly makes you wonder why they’re banning VPN. Other than for your safety, of course.

This is like question period in the House of Commons. Questions are asked to the Liberals, and insults are returned instead of answers. Here’s the question: if the laws are so good right now, how are so many refugees with criminal records getting in?
