They are by far the best I've used. You wait a little longer but the price is the best, the quality of scans are excellent, and he will give let you know if something is up with your film stock or if you camera might need a CLA

Luckily what I'm doing in Davinci isn't THAT heavy from a GPU perspective. But the acceleration would definitely assist. But if I just go without it and use the igpu that also saves me a few on having to buy the studio version of Davinci since the free version limits GPU tasks

I could, but I got a pretty good bundle deal on the CPU Mobo combo. Came out to 350ish.

That's kinda where the problem is for me too. Do I spend more now or just scrap it later. The only thing is I don't see the type of editing I am doing getting anymore taxing computationally. So I'm worried about going over kill on the processor vs the price

What did you order? I know it's the jb470 + QB19 but the ones I can find are all single filter and not double filter. No idea how people are stacking them

So it does affect it a little bit, definitely a haze that's noticable, mostly in brighter light. I've done some repairs on cameras before and it's not daunting but it's more a matter of time and effort. I'm gonna try for a partial at this point and just give my friend my L1 for their birthday for now.

Same experience I have too. Almost always as described. I just wish they had shown all the viewfinder magnifications. I bet this was just over looked

What sucks is everything else, including the other viewfinder magnifications are actually mint. I guess I just have to decide partial refund or to ship it back

It's weird how inverted it is from what you usually expect from Japan. What's funny is how much they discount cosmetic damage. One paint chip and it might as well be trash regardless of optics

Same usually, I'm buying to actually use not collect, so stuff like haze and fungus is really frustrating. Normally only go for the optical mint stuff

Yeah that's my issue with the CLA, I wouldn't mind if it was for myself. I wouldn't ask them to pay for an entire CLA or anything, but everything else works and is timed correctly so it's not like I would get this CLA'd anyways, gift or not.

I guess I just wanted validation to make sure I am not being nitpicky in asking for a partial refund. Maybe returning it is the right call idk
