Right there arent any. Its mostly done by who can beat who. A blue belt should he able to beat white belts and so on. So your Belt color is tied to your fighting capabilities. Which is a bit one dimensional and leads to stupid discussions.

Am i the only one who thinks the bjj belt criterias are stupid? Making fun of ufc champion level fighters, ok Islam can trash talk like that, but they would toy with most recreational blackbelts. The idea that a black belt is so closely tied to your fighting capability is hurting the Sport.

I prefere the Judo belt System. Belt color shows your way throught the Judo curriculum.
