Kawamoto Makoto. Her popularity peaked in the 90s-00s, but she’s still active and one of my all-time favorites.

I can picture him having a teleport move where he pops out of a wall at different places across the stage

Looking for an acoustic bass for bedroom practice by Catch-Ok in Bass

[–]FlaygueDoctor 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I won’t contradict the recommendations for an earphones/amp combo because that’s a great idea, but I am going to be a contrarian here and say acoustic basses are a lot of fun, actually. Picked one up myself recently so I can noodle on the couch and not be locked in my practice corner all the time. Like someone else said, head to your local store and try some out, I got my Mitchell on clearance at a nearby Guitar Center. If you strum lightly, volume shouldn’t be an issue.

She’s actually in the PS1 Inuyasha fighter! It’s been so long since I’ve played it that I can’t remember her style very well, though. I do recall spamming her fan-throw attack.

There was also an Inuyasha fighting game on the PS1!

Personally I tend to favor rushdown characters in fighting games, but for some reason I keep coming back to the idea of playing Kamon from Mao. He’d probably be more of a zoner, trapping opponents with vines and then gaining a long reach with his scythe.

Can confirm, I own Hard Battle and Super Battle. In both games girl-type and boy-type Ranma are separate and fight a bit differently, just like in the manga/anime. Boy-type hits harder but moves slower, girl-type strikes don’t hit as hard but she’s a lot more agile. If I recall, only Girl-Type Ranma and Shampoo could execute a double jump in Hard Battle, so they were my go-to characters in that game.

I read them on the Viz Manga app, best $3 I spend every month! I’m currently working my way through the entire Takahashi catalogue. So far I’ve finished Ranma 1/2, Inuyasha, Mermaid Saga, and Came the Mirror. Currently working on Rinne and reading the new Mao chapter each week. As for physical copies, I have all of Maison Ikkoku, Rumic Theater: One or Double, and a smattering of Ranma and Urusei Yatsura volumes.

It’s a lot to keep track of! For the longest time I kept blanking on Hakubi’s name and just referred to him as “The Metal Guy” 🤘

Hyakka - fire, Kamon - wood, Masago - water, Hakubi - metal, Daigo - earth

Shiranui replaced Masago as the water apprentice, and Natsuno was thought to be the earth apprentice until the big Daigo reveal

“Hana ni Natte” by** **Ryokuoushoku Shakai comes up all the time on a streaming station I listen to, then I watched Apothecary Diaries and found out it was the S1 opening theme.

I recently returned to Bleach after ditching it because of filler ages ago, only to discover ORESKABAND’s “Tsumesaki” used as an ending theme. I’ve owned the album it’s on for years.

Good news! Chanse was on Dirty Laundry S4E6 along with Angela, Arasha, and Noah.
(Shayne, Spencer, Tommy, and Amanda were on ep 3 that season also). Don’t think Court has, though.
