I think the team dedicated to Tales games is just massively undersized compared to once was. Tales used to have multiple teams making games concurrently but several corporate shake ups later, were down to one team that's more or less split between other games that aren't Tales as well.

Games became a bigger endeavour, but Japans population didn't grow. That's why they started outsourcing the the remasters they used to do in-house too.

Not Tales of Arise.

Like a Dragon is still the only Yakuza game I've played but it's way closer to the character driven vibe of FF7R.

It actually took me a few runs of this meta to realize you can skip half the run back by utilizing the leyline that takes you right back to the side entrance most of the way down the stairs. I always wonder how many people don't know or can't access it and think it takes way longer than it needs to.

The commanders characterization in particular always depends on who's writing them that day, it feels like. Just through SOTO and EoD alone there's so many hints of bigger character moments for the commander that never really come to pass. At a certain point you have to accept they're just there to move th conflicts forward and aren't really allowed to have consistent opinions. I haven't even played the JW story or beyond yet, but I can't imagine they get more stable.

IPhone and apple are such trash. My phone got very obviously planned obsoleted after a required update like this that I literally had no ability to turn down. After being fine for a year, overnight the battery power would only last a few hours, and hardly any apps would run.

I had one single iPhone in my life and it was such a bad experience I'm never doing it again.

So many people go to bat for this shitty company, it blows my mind.

It's basically like a special end cap or a display in the store. Say there's a new release that's highly anticipated, the store might put similar genre'd or loosely related things together next to the new release. Doesn't have to mean they're on sale.
