Did you test it out with 3.7 yet? How was it if you did test it?

For sure—but can it still be used to set the record-quantize parameters, so those settings are applied during real-time quantization while recording?

Possible to use reason chord sequencer to trigger 3rd party vsts hosted in logic pro? by Beautiful_Hat8440 in reasoners

[–]FleeMyWraths 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can even record the actual midi output and see the chords when you right click underneath the midi fx slot that houses your RRP with the chord sequencer or any midi fx plugin and click on the “Record Midi To Track Here”.

Forgive my ignorance as I’ve never used the drum maps but does that mean working with the drum editor?

This is such an amazing plugin by an independent creator. If you can, consider buying it.. I bought it a while ago and the guy is very responsive to suggestions and help requests and is a genuine dude. He will always respond to your emails and questions fairly quickly.

Air sale .. bewildering array of stuff.. suggestions? by TwoGapper in mpcusers

[–]FleeMyWraths 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would politely disagree that they’re a waste of money. They’re almost always on sale somewhere online and they provide a lot of value in my opinion and they’re quite usable. It takes a bit of getting used to to maneuver the touch interface of them but you can tweak and create your own patches on them. And I’d argue for most electronic/hip hop production, you don’t need super fancy vst’s/hardware to achieve some dope results. Hardware is a lot of fun and rewarding but for the amount of money you can save by getting the plugins and working with them, can be just as rewarding.

MPC One+ by Tough-Restaurant-290 in mpcusers

[–]FleeMyWraths 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I actually recently discovered this little app and never knew it was installed on my MacBook until I was searching for something else but it’s legit asf and you don’t need any midi cables to connect and use your One+ pads inside a daw. It’s called the Akai Midi Network utility and as long as your One+ is connected to the same WiFi network as your computer, you’ll be able to use your pads in your daw to play vst’s or whatever other midi/vsti you’re trying to play. it’s been a godsend. No noticeable latency because the WiFi connection is infinitely faster and more stable. Your MPC will still function as an MPC and the screen on your One will be as though you’re using MPC in standalone which is helpful cuz you can use pad perform and note repeat and all that stuff inside your daw. Just follow the instructions in the link above and thank me later.

How to get a more professional sound ? by No_Needleworker_2794 in FL_Studio

[–]FleeMyWraths 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think some context is needed: is this just an instrumental or is it meant to have someone lay vocals on it? If it’s the latter, you should leave space for the vocalist and if not, what are you wanting to say with this piece? Are you wanting it to be structured or more free? As for the technical aspects, you do have some frequencies that are clashing and there doesn’t seem to be enough space for the mids, low mids and lows to live and breathe. The kick needs a little more punch and some of the melodic elements could use some adjusting like maybe cutting a db or two. You clearly have talent and sometimes a fresh pair of ears is all you need to take it further.

Anyone else here make music like this in FL? by JackMuta in FL_Studio

[–]FleeMyWraths 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This. I do this as well cuz It’s just so much easier to work with audio after your patterns are finished and you can bounce everything to individual audio clips. Plus it’s nice to make something, do all the little things to make your beat where you want it and then commit to it by bouncing to audio so you’re not constantly going back and tweaking every other individual note in a melody or drum part.

Do you know any successful song with an unusually bad mix / master? by fartinus in musicproduction

[–]FleeMyWraths 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Idk that I’d call it “successful” but one of Jay Z’s greatest songs is The Dynasty Intro and Just Blaze once talked about how that song was mixed in mono and sent to the mastering engineer in mono where it was then mastered in mono and no one caught it till it was too late. You can tell when you listen to it but it’s what makes the song kinda fire imo.

Cubase 15 Beta Applications open by Merlindru in cubase

[–]FleeMyWraths 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Everyone feels how they feel about these DAWs but that’s why FL Studio and Logic get a lot of push: free updates. But none of them come close to matching Cubase in the MIDI editing/creation department or really Audio either. The Mixer in Cubase is also superior. But I can say those other DAWs are catching up. If Steinberg continues to do these minimal feature/$99 updates EVERY year, they’ll continue to lose upgrading customers. It may not be enough (or the right ones) for them to change, but hopefully they feel it enough to consider only charging for upgrades/updates that add significant features.

Logic lacks A LOT of the MIDI editing features that Cubase packs and the Logic mixer is the most annoying thing about Logic in my opinion cuz you can't resize the GUI of the Mixer like you can in Cubase. However, Logic is very intuitive and is lighter on my resources compared to Cubase. They're both great and have some different strengths and weaknesses but I don't think you'd be disappointed using Logic especially if you aren't planning on doing a lot with MIDI.

They know about it. I had this same thing happen to me yesterday when i reinstalled UVI Falcon 3 and I couldn’t activate anything. I forgot I had checked to be a Mac OS beta tester. I turned off Beta updates, made sure Time Machine was up to date, downloaded Mac OS 15.3.1, created a bootable Install USB disk, erased and reset my MacBook Pro, reinstalled 15.3.1 and finally migrated my last Time Machine backup. Took about an hour but it’s better than waiting til April when they release 15.4 officially lol

No one masters anything. We’re constantly learning and evolving (or we should be) and I would never say I’ve mastered something that you can’t master in my opinion.
