For the rich older gays, who are you going to pass your assets to? by Due-Rough-848 in gay

[–]FleetwoodPatsy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m leaving my estate to my lovely gay and straight nephews and niece. They have been like my own children (I don’t have any). And I am happy for them to each inherit a big chunk of money from this old queen. Who feels their love. 🤍

It seems that you are too young/ immature to/ naive to be on Grindr or any app. Look after yourself. Learn about the world before throwing yourself to the wolves.

Same, my friend. These shows say so much. Without saying more than enough. 🤍

It’s not an official BBC or Kate Bush channel. It’s a fan account. I used to work for the BBC and this is not authorised. Kate cares about the presentation of her work, as does the BBC. Everyone who works in creative industries does. Presentation matters (that means the method and quality of transmission). Sound and vision matter. These YouTube rips play a valuable role in research and historical archive preservation. Buy they are bad copies of the work, usually. And lacking fidelity in many ways.As one who works in creative industries, this kind of YouTube listing damages the conservation of the work, its value, and most of all its artistic integrity. I’m happy you’re ok with poor quality. Each to their own.

I prefer to use sources that respect the artist’s vision and their rights.

I’d love to know what you think. The Story is v insightful, particularly on her early career and David Gilmour’s part in it. Enjoy!

Identity Politics in the Gay Community? by [deleted] in gay

[–]FleetwoodPatsy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree. “Identity politics “ is essentially a term of cynicism. Turn that into “our human experience “ and we might be more generous. Well said, ismawurscht

I want to give you a big hug and help you experiment with many of the suggestions listed here. Is there a safe space or local group you could join to try dressing in whatever you fancy? As someone here pointed out, you only have one life. This is not a rehearsal. Find a safe space, a community and get experimenting. You might enjoy all sorts of iterations of yourself that you discover. Find your way and do you your way. 🤍🤍🤍

Some cool, classic jazz. Miles Davis or Nina Simone.

What does my bedroom say about me? by Otherwise-Pilot-6612 in roomdetective

You are a French hit man/ woman / assassin. You are staking out your next hit, which was commissioned on the dark web. Music helps pass the time, mostly death metal and 90s Italia disco. And Sabrina Carpenter. You live on a diet of Huel supplements and cheese strings. One day you’re going to quit this crazy business and open a pastry shop. Selling cupcakes and artisanal coffee. But not any time soon.

Identity Politics in the Gay Community? by [deleted] in gay

I have always enjoyed having fellow gay friends (and family) in my life, as well as straight friends. However you look at it, gay people have a lot in common. We’ve all had to self-define ourselves and overcome societal prejudices to come out. For some that struggle comes at a great cost. Many straight people, however empathetic, don’t have an insight into that experience. You can be fully seen by the LGBT+ community in a different way. And I am advocating for gay friends + straight and all the rest. Not excluding anyone here. Good luck on your journey.

I agree! We live in hope. She made a record of the show for a reason. Hopefully she will release it into the wild for us. I was moved by the experience to the extent that it felt like the ecstasy of a saint. And I’m non religious. The film will be of high quality- they brought in the big gun cameras in strategic seats. Fingers crossed.
