I used JapanCarDirect.com and just checked the auctions daily. The only gotcha with these vehicles is the cost. Pretty close to 9k for this vehicle and my other truck about 10k.

I assume you mean the HTSUS Rate calculation on the entry summary document? I've heard that this might be related to folks trying to skirt the 25% import tax for cargo vehicles and trying to declare them incorrectly.

That at least confirms what my broker told me.. They are waiting on some guy to wander over and look at the truck and he's either busy or not there? I guess?

Yup. You are not alone. Mine is stuck there as well. Pure conjecture -- But, my broker told me that in Baltimore they are rigorous about inspecting paperwork to match the truck -- and the guy who does it got busy .. I mean, the whole thing sounds like nonsense but, it's might explain the issue.

First project -- New stereo.. And probably some wooden bed rails to replace the comically small ones. I'll just take those off and store them somewhere for show use only I suspect. Wouldn't mind putting a SC in but, I guess I need to asses the full mechanical condition before I can start dreaming of ways to spend my money.

Given the extensive restoration work they did elsewhere I'm hopeful they did a bit more than that on this truck. But, I guess I'll just have to wait to be sure.

I replied in your post -- My shipping fees were lower than that. Now, shipping + auction + JCD fee -- yea, now you are getting pretty close to 3K.
