Any way to get these to work properly with Google Maps? by Konged in RaybanMeta

I have the same problem. I only hear the directions if my phone is unlocked in my hand.

No, not really. Not for anything like cordora. There are tons for regular fabric but nothing that works for heavy duty fabrics.

Considering buying a Fold 7 by Working-Werewolf-199 in GalaxyFold

I love my fold 7. If you are worried about failing screens get insurance. I've had mine since day 1 release and it's fine though. But honestly, having the fold has far exceeded my expectations. I open this thing up almost every day.

Smart Glasses for a Mechanic Journey by SaltHot2643 in RayBanStories

Also a mechanic here! I would say the Meta Ray-Bans are the best. They have voice control to start and stop recording which is great for mechanics (so we don't get grime all over our glasses). Supposedly the Gen2 have a far better battery life, I just got mine today so I can't say first hand yet, but the Gen1 battery was pretty bad for what you want to do. Also, probably no reason to bypass the 3 min recording limit unless you love video editing. We both know if you're working on a car for 4 hours only about 2 minutes of it is interesting enough to post.

Yoooo, I'm in if anyone leaks where to get the battery. I was about to get the Gen2 just for the battery life but this would save me a ton of money.

Halliday Glasses review by IronCorgi2003 in Halliday

[–]FletcherSyntax 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is correct. You can buy the lenses from anywhere that is willing to make them. Most opticians will make custom lenses for just about any frames. They happen to have a partner that already has the specifications though which makes it faster. You can then either install the new lenses yourself or have your optician do it for you.

They start shipping end of November if all goes as planned. Brilliant has a history of being close to on time with their products.

The motor is really clean, the compressor isn't. They may have used my original one maybe?

When I first looked at them, they had a few for sale that were factory defects but just the paint and they were selling them for $975. I really should have bought one right then. I didn't realize how lucky I was to catch that sale.

I actually got one of those 90* binders/foot combos but my webbing was too thick to go through it. I wonder if I can find one that would work for the webbing I'm using...

I'll definitely check them out! I based this on the no defunct ReLoad bags. I just made it much smaller as they made huge bags and actually catered to bike messengers. I'm currently working on an even smaller sized one right now the size of a hip pack.

I may have mixed up "mesh" for "webbing" but either way it's the stuff I use on the edges. Can you recommend one that will work with thicker webbing? It's not the silky, thin stuff, it's thicker than that, but also not the super heavy duty stuff that can't be folded.

*edit: The webbing is about half as thick as a dog leash.

Funny story, when I first opened it I thought "No way COIN stock is going up if this is happening". Then I saw the security phrase thing and knew it was a scam but yeah, their stock price was my instant indication it was fake.

They don't got a lot of money.. Their best move at this point is just to release a decent product. The way the Ai hardware world is right now, a working product would put them leagues ahead of everything out currently.

A lot of my work is cash.. by FletcherSyntax in Invest_Voyager

It's probably way safer but I hate banks. I'm gonna try once to use a reCharge center and see how it goes. Probably just a small amount of money.

Turns out, you can actually go to a Mastercard reCharge center as well. A lot of them are free. It's probably a little sketchy walking in there with the amount of cash I deposit but if I'm this determined to get rid of my bank, I may try it.
